Hi,
I am a TH9 farming in Champs. I had read somewhere that matchmaking in Champs was changed when they introduced Titan Leagues, so that matchmaking still finds similar bases if above 3200 trophies. However, each time I get a little higher than 3200, I seem to find 90%+ TH10 bases. If around 3180 its more like 60%/40% TH10/Th9, all the way down to C1.
Is this just a streak of variance (bad luck) or does matchmaking still search the entire pool if above 3200?

Champs is fine now... Doesn't get annoying 1 cup offers till low Titans.

@OP, most of the bases are going to be TH10's up in champs and above 3200 you're more likely to be matched with someone above 3200. And below 3200 but above 3100 with champ badge you may be in that threshold to see lower TH's that are not in champs. That's just my guess don't quote me on that.

When they introduced Titan/Legends league I think Matchmaking now is the same in any cup range, so I'd say it's probably an unlucky streak?
I'm a TH8 in Master 2 (2.7k cups) and all my last defenses were against Champ 3 players (their cups respectively 3249, 3315, 3203, 3257)
OP is TH9. When you are at M1, you are matched from Crystal1 till Champs. There are still enough TH9, especially C1 to match for you.
Once you are in Champ, gone are the C1. All you see are M3 and higher, and there are not a lot of TH9 out there, hence you will be matched with TH10.

Not true. I'm in Champs 3, TH9. I see crystal bases still, only worth 1 trophy but I still see them regularly.
I did a count one day while nexting and it was just about 1 out of every 10 bases was a TH9. That's a small sample size though with it just being my experience.
It makes sense though that the higher up you go the more TH10 you will see.
I rarely come across a TH9 in champs, as a TH10. I start to drool when I do see one though lol!! I don't think TH9s last long up here, and any that are here, get leveled fast I'm sure.
Most TH9s would put their TH out and pray to get sniped. I can't imagine what's going on in the mind of the TH8s and 9's that keep their TH protected in higher leagues lol. You are just begging someone to come and raid you. I don't see why anyone would keep their TH protected unless majorly pushing and a mid-max TH10. At best you need to spend money rearming your traps, infernos etc..
been in champs3, three weeks now as a mid to low th9. Mainly get sniped and left alone, even by th10s

Same here even with full storages as a new TH9 I have yet to be raided just sniped and I've been in champs for maybe 3 weeks now.
Searching above 3200 for TH snipes takes patience because it is mainly th10 but if you are just farming for the loot bonus what I do is drop to 3110 which leaves you still in champs and then TH snipes back up to 3200. Doing this I avg. a TH snipe every 25 searches, which is more after this update came out for some reason but still doable for farming.
I get raided only if I'm holding on to a lot of all three resources, but even then the supposed amazing TH10s don't "wreck" me. And yes snipes are quite rare which is why I find having my own TH outside my base results in many snipe and leave attacks.
