Easy to address in game problems

Imagine u are in charge. You are doing your cost vs benefit analysis of common gripes.

    1) What issues make your list?

    2) What possible solutions can you think of?

    3) Whats the cost both in terms of implementation and possible affect on company revenue and general customer satisfaction?

    For me:

    1) Hands down, people putting unwanted troops in war defensive CC's.

    2) A simple in game toggle feature under clan information to set a threshold for who can donate to war defenses based upon the existing 3 clan ranks and or let the leader remove unwanted troops. Showing who donated could be nice but not needed if either or both proposed solutions were implemented, it would also probably be more costly.

    3) cheap implementation, no negative affect on company revenue and few would object: the only possible demographics i could see who would not like this are a) greifers/trolls who find more joy in stealing enjoyment from others than playing the game themselves. b) Clans with maxed enrollment who benefit from this happening to their opponents with zero downside to themselves and who may employ advanced spy techniques to send out multiple spies prior to war search in hope of matching a clan with one of their spies in it.

If that is genuinely even remotely an issue for you, then you need to find a new clan.

But if that were presented as an issue to me as development programme manager for Supercell (assuming such a post exists), it would go VERY low on my priority list, as it would be fairly complex to implement, while almost certainly causing more problems than it solved.

The only way to actually prevent this would be on the request screen, rather than a message, you have a number box for each troop type where you can put how many of each are required.

But then of course, you have issues if (like most clans I suspect), your make up varies from war to war - there may be nobody in a particular war who can donate those troops.

    2) A simple in game toggle feature under clan information to set a threshold for who can donate to war defenses based upon the existing 3 clan ranks and or let the leader remove unwanted troops. Again, if such a threshold is needed, then you need a new clan (or kick the problem donators). And again, I don't think it would be particularly easy to implement.

Or c) Most normal clans who have no issue with this at all, and see no reason for this added complexity.

perhaps i used too many words

because the only response was way off base. So clearly no one bothered to read.

His response "kick the problem donator".

That is precisely the problem, there is no way to know who this was. Troops donated to DEFENSIVE war castle do not register in the clans donation count or for the friends with needs acheivment. No message comes up upon donation. The only way to tell is who has that troop type/level and this only narrows it down to all people with that particular troop.

As for my proposed solution being complex... letting clan leader do what the owner of the war CC can already do is complex? I am no programmer but this does not seem right to me.
