How frequently do you upgrade heros?

I have been upgrading my AQ continuously (29 --> 30 as we speak) while leaving BK at lvl 20. It is one reason I stopped warring. I'm planning to start warring after AQ is done because I think wars without BK is tolerable but without AQ it's a huge disadvantage.

I upgrade one whenever I have enough DE to do so. The time varies on my activity. I'm not a hyper farmer so I can't do both back to back or even 1 back to back, but the rate I manage is good enough for me.

I always have a hero upgrading. I made the mistake at TH9 of holding off on hero upgrades which made me stay there for a couple months extra to get them maxed.

My heroes are now 40/38, with my queen waking up in a couple days and will then be going to Lv40. Thank god it's almost over lol

while they've been upgrading I have been sitting out of war tho. I hate having them awake longer than is needed, so it's just easier to sit out. My clan wars back to back and they don't mind. I'm definitely eager to get back into constant war though, I've only been in maybe 6 wars in the last 4-5 months.

Would be interested to hear what you are all using to farm the de. I hope you are not doing it too low down looking for full drills :-)

1 simple fact: BAM BAM and again BAM 106 archers 106 barbars and 14 minions and crystal league btw 2300-2400 with bonus of C1 . this is the best army and u can att every 15 mins so u can att 4 times per hour . u must trust me: 2300-2400 is the best place for farming all of resources. yes all and its amazing . now i have 185 magma walls

with this u can at least attack 20-30 times per day or if u have much time 50-60 att per day without any gem or boost .with 300 dark per att bonus is awesome and of course u find mush full dark drill btw your atts so u can easily find 30k-40k dark maybe 50k per day

Mine have both passed Lv20 and I'm managing to keep at least one down per week. Getting Dark at Masters is a piece of cake, hopefully I can keep this routine going

I do about 1-2 hero levels per week. Currently 35-34.

I am a th9 with 16/14 heros currently. Currently as a college student, I have fairly a good amount of free time available, but also many activities I could do in this time. I am a serious warrer, who is still an 8.5(8.4 since I have 5 unmaxed th8 defeneses, on purpose ofc). I do this so that I can still 3star the low th9s I matchup with in war even with both heros upgrading ie. I dont have to opt out of war.

The initial plan after going to th9, was to upgrade both heros non-stop until 20/20 atleast. But around this point itself, I find myself lagging behind schedule. Since I am leader of a serious war clan, tough battle days also affect my farming. I have new th9 alt(which is a plus for my farming actually due to constant max wiz donations), and I war continously with both these accounts ie. have 4 th9 war attacks to plan every 2 days.

Is it reasonable to do only one hero for now in my case, or is it worth devoting some more of my free time to ensure both heros are being upgraded constantly(I can afford the occasional boost)? Maybe wait till the clashcon update to see if we'll have upgrading heros in war? I've seen many posts saying "both my heros are constantly upgraded" so I believe its not too uncommon. How frequently do you guys upgrade heros and how much time do you spent for farming the de?

I am a rusher, have 2 th10 and also war nonstop. As a rusher I m able to war without heroes.

Farming DE is lot better with lv7 barch... I farm 30-40k a day.

I'm at 17/16 atm, have had heroes upgrading almost constantly. Once in a while I take a break for war, but not often... It sucks, but will be worth it in the end.
