    Too many troop types to fit on the screen

    Hey guys,

    Here's a problem that comes up occasionally. The width of the screen only accommodates a limited number of troop/spell icons at the bottom - I believe the number is 12 (at least on IOS). It's not too uncommon (especially during a War) to go to battle with more than 12 troop/spell types. E.G. last war I used 13 in a basic GoWiWi:

    Golem, Witch, Wiz, Wallie, Giant, Barb, Arch, Castle troops, King, Queen, Rage, Heal, Poison

    When you use more than 12 troop/spell types, what happens is that the 13+ ones are not visible, and you have to scroll left/right to get access to all of them. This is a bit of a difficulty in the heat of battle. It would be NICE if there were a way to redesign the user interface to fix this- does any one have any suggestions?

    I wouldn't make the icons any smaller, as it discriminates against fat-finger players (such as myself!).

    Why would you want to take all those troops/spells to a battle/war?

    I can see it's probably annoying to scroll left/right to tap the right troop in the middle of an attack, but I never took that much troops/spells with me.

    However, could you settle for reduced icon-size if all troops/spells of that type are deployed?

    Maybe supercell could implement in the settings menu and have an on/off button to enable 2 rows of bars and reduced size of about 1/4 smaller

    Well, each troop had a purpose... at least in my mind! Giant to lure, barbs/archs to kill Castle drag, Golem/Witch/Wiz/Wallie for main attack. Some of the more complex hybrid air/ground attacks might use even more types.

    I'd rather not make the icons much smaller.

    That sounds like a good idea. I also thought of having the icon disappear when all that troop type is used up, instead of just going grey. So all the other types could slide over one space and be visible.

    A couple of wars ago, I was attacking with a similar army, and I simply forgot to deploy all my archers, because the icon was "invisible" being scrolled off the screen. Finished with a 90% 2 star, which could have easily been a 3 star with those extra troops. I had to endure the abuse of all my clanmates, not fun!

    Here's a gentle bump to this thread.

    Just had a 99% 2 star vs a TH9 in the last war - foiled by the old "builder hut in the corner trick" as the clock ran out. I had 3 leftover archers that could have easily destroyed the hut, but were "invisible" because they had scrolled off the screen. I got lots of abuse from my clan mates over that one.

    Does anyone out there (besides me) use more than 12 troop/spell types in a War attack? I can't be the only one who has been burned by this problem...
