What strats should I use to 3 star as a TH8

Im a TH 8 with max everything except golems, valks, hogs (lvl3), what strats can I use to 3 star my foes??

At th8 with max troops you should be practicing on Gowipe . Learn the basic fundamentals. Once you reach Th9 or TH10 this is the only strategy that can help you with war / trophy pushing. Although there are more hybrid strategies as you progress, the same tactics apply. There are many videos on youtube teaching you how to gowipe. U can check them out

I agree lv4 hogs are best option once you learn them, but if you can't 3* a th8 with GoWiPe (Max pekka in cc and max th8 troops in camp) then you are doing it wrong. I rarely see GoWiPe fail vs th8 unless it is very compact base with multiple compartments, then hogs are better choice anyways.

Don't let the GoWiPe haters on forums steer you wrong, GoWiPe works very well vs th8. I see many more fail with hogs than with GoWiPe each war.

I'm not a GOWIPE hater, in normal raids it's the 1st attack I use when opening COC(cooked the night before)
But in most TH8 vs TH8 I see 2 stars(maybe from the point that my TH 10 member only has lvl3 Pekka)
But I see more and more TH8 bases of either loads of compartments or very wide open sided ,wide boxed core (all Tesla,s in core) so get timed out hence 2 stars.
For me since practicing Hog variants, I have had more impressive results

But again I'm not a forum anti-gowipe fanboy ,it's just through personal experience
Plus what I quoted was a contradictory post if read correctly (all we use is ,EXCEPT WHEN) so that was why I highlighted it and picked at it slightly

All elite clans you level 4 hog attacks or a goho attack (with lvl 4 hogs too). If you take the time to learn how to use hogs, you can three star any th8. I've noticed many people may try to convince you to use GoWipe. Don't fall into that rut. Learn to use hogs and you will be a godly th8. Otherwise dragloon attacks is another decent 3 star strategy for th8.

The reason for me as to why compositions involving hogs or loons will always be favorable to GoWipe is because hogs and loons target defenses. Sure Golems do that as well but they are slow and take forever to kill a defense compared to a hog or balloon.

What if they have double giant bombs between defences?
Will u hog attack bases with lots of empty spaces?

Like I said, hogs are the best option when maxed AND when you learn how to use them. I just get so tired of snobbish fanbois hating on GoWiPe.

The simple fact you advise dragloon over GoWiPe says wonders about your tactical awareness as it is.

1) Hogs, once lv 4. You will have some fails with them, but they have great 3 star potential.
2) GoWiPe with max CC PEKKA.
3) Dragloon. You may have to use this until Hogs and GoWiPe troops are up, but once they are put it last on your thought list. It has no future once your TH9.

Go with 1 or 2, because once you understand both you can start unleashing the deadly GoHo combination, which will serve you well at TH9 too.

GoHo on a predictable GB base and Hogs on bases with only 1/2 spots for GB. Or Dragons with 2 lvl 5 lightning, an EQ and a rage

Red bit I would take with a pinch of salt..( most GOWIPES hit 2 stars at TH8 )
So for me Hogs lvl4 all day long then golems for using GOHO👍
