Than why do people say I'm a th8.5? Obviously they clicked upgrade and became a th9
Why can't they just make a name for people that do ".5" ?
There are "rushers" "hoppers" "maxers"
Why not "scardycats" (If you don't understand scardycats, it means they are scared of being matched with a th9 of their lvl)

TH8.5 would not mean halfway through TH8 because halfway through TH8 is still a TH8. They say .5 because when you go to the new Town Hall level, you are only working on offense, not defense except the Queen and walls and maybe a few traps.

It is just a terminology as there are no such things such as th8.5, th9.5 technically. But the term .5 created for these purpose.

8.5 means you are a th9 that did all the th8 upgrades, and is doing half of the th9 upgrades, mainly offense.

As for the .5 method of th calling. It is a term used specifically within CoC community. Thus once a person knows the term they are able to associate that name with the correct meaning behind it. The idea behind the .5 is that you are a th 9 with all the th 8 maxed defense yet you are alittle more (queen and walls maybe traps). Obviously the TH itself is a level 9 version, but as in everything in the world, it is all about how you decide to look at it.

Mayhaps Th9 -.5 would be more acceptable to the folks that felt the need to harass the term 8.5.
