    Thought process on no defense no wall base?

    Why do people do this? And how high of a TH is it even possible to get to? Seems like you would lose loot at an incredible pace.

    My mini is a th7 with no walls or defenses. I could easially get to th9 and keep the lab busy. The trick is to spend all the loot you make raiding before logging off. My storages are always empty and i dont really care about gold one bit. Only the cc, th, and my one cannon you are forced to make needs gold for upgrades.

    I get ranked below th4s for war yet i can three star 2 th8s every war.

    I think the ideabehind most defenseless bases is low war weight, favoring attack power of defensive strength.

    Its also a rather lazy way to make an account, as you can just forget those silly walls... etc, but I imagine it would take some significant farming sessions to get the elixir upgrades going, as obviously they cannot hold loot

    Anywho, as for the reason, mostly to keep the game interesting and doing something different. My mini walless th7 is pretty low maintenance but I still keep the lab constantly running, i boost raid only for de. I get most loot from war and collectors. A 16 hour shield lets maxed/near maxed collectors recover any lost loot.

    An entire clan of walless accounts, or mostly walless like No Walls 3.0, is also near unbeatable in war, too. Our sister clans, No Walls and No Walls Too, are at level 6 and 5 with us following closely at level 4. It makes for very one sided wars most of the time with occasional fun and challenging clashes with other clans pulling similar low level bases in war tricks. Great for clan xp grinding, naturally.

    As for how far it can go, it depends on the person. There's a th9 with no walls and only a level 1 cannon in No Walls who's is Champion's league. There's strong th10s with all th10 defenses and maxed troops but with no walls. I intend to get my walless mini maxed th9 troops and reach th10 just for the extra camp space and spell (gonna take a long time but it'll get there.) Then we have people who just reach th7 for drags/rage spells and stay there. All up to the player and what they think is fun to try for.

    It's extremely easy to get to th8 this way. Getting the upgrades at th8 is where the challenge begins. You have to dedicate yourself to play in sessions.

    The casual player will fail miserably with this strategy as they will endure 3-star looses each time they go on defense.

    If, however, you are disciplined to play for lengthy farming sessions, you can make FAR MORE loot than you will lose in a six hour farming session, then when you go on defense, you are assured a 16 hour shield.

    Play (battle, watch replays, touch screen to stay online while watching tv) from 6 in the evening to midnight for your six hour session. You can easily get in 2.5 battles per hour with Barbarian & Archers - 15 battles in six hours for probably well over 1 million loot. Use that 1 million loot to start upgrades for barracks, army camps, upgrades to laboratory, etc. Go on defense for a single 3-start loss for ~20% of loot that you kept.

    This is a very viable strategy and if you max out army camps, barracks, laboratory, spells, you can be a max offense player for wars/battles, while being minimal defensive weight. If your CW weight lines you up against a low-enough town hall player, your clan castle troops (the right troops at max level) might even be able to occasionally prevent a 3-star loss. Max Valkyrie (8pts) 2x Max Wizard (8pts) 3x Max Minions (6pts) and 3x Max Archers (3pts) for 25pts.

    I think the reasoning behind this is :- Give up 3 stars on war through defence, gain 6 stars in war through attack
