UPGRADE OFFENSE FIRST.... I wish someone told me this while i was a new th9.... offense should be priority, that is of course after you upgrade all your building to th8 level.... after that you should definitely do offense... and if you wanna do good in war work on walls ... instead of defence.... kind of become a th8.5 then once you really have most of your stuff done... start upgrading defece. Probably starting with teslas , and ADs .... then wizard towers and mortars....
Offense wise do golems all the way, and get hogs... learn how to GoHo 3 star.... you should be pretty good for quite sometime.
