This getting rather old. The last four wars in a row now we have had at least one person leave before war starts. I know you cant make them attack and they can even sabatage thier bases war three stars....but....a punishment of some kind should be jn order.
if no punishment....then at least let clan leaders bring in a substitute member.
i know this is a very common problem to most of us so there has to be more ideas floating around that we can present SC.

There is a fix. Stop recruiting off global. Set to invite only and 1200 trophies. Put an add for members in the recruiting section of the forum. We havent had anyone leave durring war in at least 3 months.
Don't let new people in your wars until they have been in your clan for one week.
For established clans, yes that would work. But for the clans that are just now building, it doesnt. For every well established clan, there are probably at least 2 or 3 small building clans.
If a clan seems to have a revolving door, it is probably a good indication that there is no need for that clan to exist. Maybe try to merge with another building clan so you have enough members to war. Or just join an established clan. There are more than enough for everyone.Originally Posted by ggclasher
Trust me, being leader in an established clan can be a huge pita sometimes. It becomes like a job. I sometimes...ok all the time...wish that I could just go join a clan and be a member, not an elder, just a member. Go to war, do my war attacks, chat, donate... whatever. Not have to start wars and mediate fights and yell at people for missing war attacks and send messages to people that aren't pulling their weight, etc... Thing is, the clan is almost 2 years old now with about 10 original members, I cant leave that. Careful what you wish for...

However the should still be able to attack even when not in the clan in my opinion

We just had this happen again! Took suggestions from here and created a recruiting post. Got a hit the first day. Person was in the clan for five days and active. War was declared yesterday and they left right after the matchup!
No...kicking and quiting are two different things. You can't kick somebody and replace them. That wouldn't be right. And substitute should be close to equal to keep it fair. I agree that a TH7 leaving and replaceing with a max 10 wouldn't be fair.
However....something needs/should be done. Us small guys wanna be able to have as much fun as you bigger clans. And maybe one day get up to your level.
This is why when starting a clan, we need to choose our members carefully, thats what happens when bad strangers join

The clan im in is about 1.5yrs old...mix fun and wars etc . This used to happen for about the first 10months or so.....then we decided only members with 300 donations first can join our wars....and we stopped having this problem. Almost all who got to 300 for war are still in the clan.
If you want people not to leave during wars, request only mature and high lvl people, and do not include them in war before you know how they are
