Skipping th8?

Hey guys,

I recently got into TH8 from a nearly maxed th7. My walls are level 7 and I really want th9 for max balloons so do i go up there or do i max th8 first?

Depends on how much you play. I was going to take this route but I don't farm enough. Need to farm at least 2.5 mil / day

Higher level troops do indeed give you increased power, but you also have to attack higher level bases in order to get loot. Completely skipping any town hall level leaves you at a disadvantage as you have lower level troops and defenses than you would otherwise have, yet you have to attack and are attacked by higher level players.

You should at least do some of TH8 and the more the better.

I would not rush to TH 9!!

From personal experience I would not go to TH 9 until you are maxed TH 8.

I say this because once you become TH 9 you will get match up with other TH 9's when you go to raid.

I rushed to TH 9 and struggled for a while because my defenses were not maxed at TH 8 and I was raided constantly, losing more loot than what I was gaining.

Take your time to max TH 8 and you will be more successful at TH 9.

IF you just want the offensive power e.g. for war then i'd suggest doing the offensive upgrades at TH8 and do defence later - but it's going to mean that you will be a weak TH9 and people will farm you more.

There will still be a struggle at first but if you rush that struggle will be longer.

You will definitely miss lots of fundamental skills that may help you on the 9th town hall level! Townhall 8 and 9 do have big differences in terms of raidings and army comps (TH 8 is your preparatory level for your next level which is th 9) so do not compare both town hall levels.
