I just find with Hounds they are almost anaemic re damage. I have come up against a couple and simply drawn them away from the attack force and kept them busy in a corner while I totally ignore them with my main attack force. They are often un-popped as the TH goes down for second star.

Lava is very goog IF your CC is not easily lurable. You need 2 archers + 1 healer to keep the lava busy in a corner. But you also need to lure the cc (assume it's well centered, that's 3/4 hogs min) and a few troops to attract it in the corner (assume there is no easy builder hut in the corner, that's again 5/6 archers). So that's about 40 spaces only for taking care of my lava. In my opinion, even if he is kept in a corner for the whole attack, he did a pretty good job ;-)

I have never tried it mate but as I mentioned if my plan turns out to be useless My next war CC will be a Lava,Giant and I'll see how it goes. I agree if you can tie up that many troops that's as good as decent hit on an attack.

Saleh 47s feedback on this topic would be(He told me)to have a mix of speeds.For a 35 space cc I would say one dragon one valkyrie 3 minions 1 barb.
