We just finished a war a couple hours ago - and it tied as well. Great timing. Good part is that we fought c h e a t e r s and still won - thanks to skills and the new tiebreaker. Yay.
Let's call this a perfectly fair match.
We told one of our newer members to lightning the cc....He dropped a lightning spell on the actual cc - no luring the troops or anything. Guess we should have been more specific...
Before the update, the chance of a draw in a 10v10 clan was 1 in 30
In a 50v50 clan it was 1 in 150.
Now with the tiebreaker in place, it's 1 in 30,000 and 1 in 150,000.
Of course, real life can be much different from the math world
We just had a really exciting end to our war which was tied on stars. They had hit all our bases, we hadn't hit their max th10 number 1... And the only attack we had left was our number 10, an early th8. We did some maths and worked out he needed to destroy 18 buildings to give us the win, which he did! Carefully picking off loose buildings and a max pekka in his TH. A carefully planned zero star victory!
I noticed though that one less building would have made it a tie on destruction. If both clans have the same number of buildings (not that unlikely), then each building destroyed is worth the same fixed percentage. So despite the accuracy of two decimal places, ties in the new system won't be massively rare.
