Interesting things that updates teach you

Quite often on the forums there are players who complain about not being able to do walls with gold and they need the elixir option brought back.

2 days ago I built my last lava wall and started saving for the update. Now I'm not really looking for gold as I am focused on my Heros, but I thought it would be good to pause the level 10'walls and get ready for the 25 new walls.

Yesterday afternoon I capped out at 8 mil gold. So I bought one more lava and started saving again. I started this morning just shy of 7 million gold. I brought in about 2 mil with the golden hour. But I not only bought every wall, they are also all level 7. So 3 days of farming, at th10, and I'm ready to start taking the 25 to level 8. Most of my raids were 200-300k gold each. Most the days leading up to were less than that.

I find it interesting that lower level town halls struggle to upgrade walls. I wonder why that is?

Because they do not play that much for whatever reason. If you try to play hardcore as a lower player (farming) it is defintely easier. But usually no one is that into the game until TH8-10.

You maxed out everything except for heroes and walls so you can focus on that, but those th9/8 when they maxed everything except for wall their elix is pratically useless..

People always seem to leave walls for last instead of doing them as they go. This usually results in a monumental task of doing all your walls at once and they get bored and quit or upgrade with the intention of doing them later.

I agree. A TH8 that has all level 7 walls has only spent a grand total of 72 mil to get all his walls from level 1 to 7. So when he starts working on skulls, it can seem like a lot to him.

Agree, I do them as I go. Other than being tedious it also offers you the bonus of being able to keep raidable loot low...

When I'm showing max DE I'll dump excess gold and elixir into walls. Then once I upgrade a hero (spend the DE) I will save for one defense upgrade while my DE is low. This way I'm never showing a significant amount of more than one resource.

It is because they lack discipline!

Just my golden hour loot could have gotten all 25 to pink, but I am still working on cannons :/

    ^Agreed.

Some Clashers are just casual gamers, some others raid often but don't know how to do it most efficiently. Others just want something to complain about. I might be naïve because I haven't been through the struggle of farming Zap/Magma walls, but for me farming walls and clan wars are the most both challenging and rewarding part of the game.
