Without gems, the highest trophies you can get is... ?

In your opinion, at what point do you believe it becomes necessary to use gems in order to continue to climb in trophies? Is there one?

The reason I ask is because I don't really gem at all, and was wondering if I would eventually reach a 'ceiling' because I am unwilling to purchase gems.

No, there is no ceiling...but it will certainly take you a lot more time online. So there would be a ceiling if you said "I can only play for an hour each day", you're going to hit the ceiling where you can no longer build an army and attack enough times to get more trophies than you're going to give up when you log off.

i dont believe there is a limit with/without gemming... it just would be more difficult and take more time and careful planning if you dont use gems

It can be done without gems, it would just take a lot of time I imagine (per day/session)

Sitting on 385ish gems. Casually climbing 2-3 attacks/day and steadily going up in cups. I haven't spent a gem, however I don't know when I started pushing. Two weeks ago, maybe? Sitting at 3700 right now. Once you get high enough, there really isn't any point in using gems unless you gem up an army when you start to see good trophy offers. Boost will fade while in the clouds looking for someone to attack.. 4200+ for th10.

I'm at 4365 trophies and don't gem barracks, heroes, or spells. You won't be needing to gem to get a good trophy push going. I have lots of spare time though, so that helps.
