“Supercell is expected to continue to be a leader in the mobile games industry,” SoftBank notes.

I want to go on record to say I feel Supercell is failing in that expectation, at least as far as problem resolution & competent support is concerned. I am quite disappointed in the handling of this particular issue. While the original problem may have arisen from defective coding in Apple's iOS9 upgrade, since that time Apple has issued two patches which seems to have corrected a majority of issues. All other apps on my device work beautifully. There is no jerky animation, no touch screen action lag, no type to text problems, no frozen screens, no failures to load, no crashes. Hay Day continues to be the only app plagued with such.
I have followed every suggestion given as a potential resolution. I've updated to the most current versions of both iOS & Hay Day. I've forced closed apps & rebooted so often it's now sublimely ridiculous. I've deleted apps, turned off location services, background refresh programs, & every other bell & whistle to the point my tablet is nothing but a glorified paper weight, all in an effort to play a silly farming game. I've supplied the information requested in this very thread & given a thorough description of actions which may help in identifying, isolating, & replicating the problem, as have many others, all to no avail, & as of the last, most recent check-in from SC's cheery rep, there is no timetable as to when any progress, if any, may be looked forward too.
After 3 weeks the only at large response given thus far is that the problem is being investigated. Being that SC is a billion dollar plus company & is also in the conglomerate nexus of Softbank's empire, it would seem that a bit more resources should be levied toward finding a speedier solution before disgruntled clients begin leaping in droves from the flagship in search of a game developer more attuned to its consumers' calls for problem resolution. Sadly, I recall a time when SC was just such a company.
To be clear, I don't expect a solution to be hammered out overnight or even in a few days. Even a non-tech person can understand that isolating a programming bug in an untold number of lines of coding is a time-consuming, tricky piece of business, & if programmers must work in conjunction with another company (Apple) who has proprietary rights to their own work, then the process is doubly tangled, & yet in the past 3 weeks SC clients have been left twisting in the wind, their gaming disrupted, their questions either answered inadequately or not at all, with no avenue for improvement & no resolution in sight beyond meaningless platitudes of sorry for the inconvenience from a support staff who seem barely cognizant there's a problem.
On a personal note to the player who posted in one of these multiple threads on this topic who said his response from support was for him to buy a new device, I want to say I would have been furious at what has to be absolutely the worst customer service reply I've ever heard, but seeing the direction this company is heading in, it must make perfect sense to someone somewhere to suggest a client spend a few hundred dollars in order to play a free game because no one seems to know if there's a problem, where it may be, or how to resolve it.
Having been so invested in a game which once afforded me hours of unstressed pleasure, I can not begin to adequately describe the frustration & disappointment it engenders now. I sincerely hope that SC does escalate their efforts to work the kinks out ASAP as calls for patience & understanding can suffice for only so long. I, for one, am fast approaching a cut my losses, move on, & don't look back point of no return, & I feel that I may not be alone in that viewpoint.
Thanks to all for allowing me to say what was on my mind, & to SC for providing the space to do.

Excellent, well done post. This morning one of my NH members was so frustrated they just closed out their game. I stuck it out. What normally should have taken me a half hour to do, took me an hour and half this morning, I don't have that kind of time just to do my normal chores. I'm behind each week in derby tasks because it is so slow and your board does not load 3/4 time that you can't even get tasks. It's difficult to load machines, difficult to reap your fields, difficult to reap your trees, flag trees to water or cut down dead trees. Even the town takes forever to do the townies.
If things are not improved by the end of this derby, I am going to hang my hat up. The slowness is affecting my play and hurting everyone in my NH as it is getting to difficult to do the tasks.

Excellently put, if I may say so, LadyJEM5.
For those unaware of this discussion in another thread, Frogville's suggestion seems to be confirmed by Jdyna. I tried it on a iPhone 5s, makes no difference (may be due to the reboot, perhaps). Would be interesting to hear from anyone that can confirm whether it helps on their device. If it does help, had you rebooted (restarted) the device already before trying this?
Thanks, Poios, for bringing this tip to this thread. As soon as I saw it I rushed to settings & did as suggested plus deleted all cookies & browsing histories just for good measure, did a reboot, then with equal amounts of hope & trepidation, fired up HD.
There was a shorter delay in loading, so an improvement there. Once in game, actions remained a tad jerky until GC loaded but that's par for the course even when HD is running optimally. After the GC welcome back banner disappeared, I ran thru all normal actions: harvested, planted, collected animal products, collected coins, restocked the RSS, loaded machines, collected machine products, checked barn & silo amounts & was thrilled that everything responded as it should. No jerkiness, no lag, no freezing, smooth scrolling while planting/harvesting & going thru inventories.
Then I went to the town, served some customers, & returned to the farm screen. This is the point where previously I've experienced the return of problems after a reboot. Was very pleased to see none of the former, so went to fishing area, collected feathers & caught a few filets, then returned home again. Still no problems, so decided to go for the acid test of trying a test chat message. Altho there was an initial type to text lag, the overall improvement was noticeably significant, & additional follow up farming actions remained untroubled...THEN I ducked back to the town to serve more customers & upon returning to the farm, every previous problem was awaiting with a vengeance...jerky animation, lags & touch screen action delays, chat back to being impossible, frozen screens. My disappointment was immense, but it was nice to play unimpeded at least for the 20 minutes or so that I was able.
My suggestion for those willing to try the Safari wipeout fix is that it seems to work fairly well as long as you avoid leaving the main farm screen. Anything beyond that however appears to leave you vulnerable to a recurrence of the same old issues.

Just reposting Nick's reply to the other thread. This posting of his is only 20 hours or so old...
Even though he says there is no fix yet it is at least acknowledgement that they know it's not good and that they are working on it. I too am frustrated but still have every faith that there WILL be a fix eventually and I am hanging in there...
Thanks, HeathNZ.
I am bothered by the initial categorical statement that the problem had not been detected in testing and could not be replicated!
Since then, I am not aware of a statement indicating that SC has finally found an iOS device in which the problem occurs. And if so, whether SC is able to replicate the problem at will in that device... to make a crash occur predictably.
Both are pre-conditions for anyone within SC to even recognize that there is a problem, let alone to get someone to address it and a fix to come out.
So, at this point, "progress" would be a confirmation that SC has indeed found at least one iOS device that is affected by the issue.
