Welcome to my first strategy post, I'm your host Senri14 of North 44 and I'll be walking you through this adventure.(◕‿◕✿)
First a little context, If you prefer skip Use Cntrl+F to find the section you desire.
{1} Brief overview and background of myself and the efficacy of dragons.
{2} RF(Rage Freeze) Dragon Comp, Strategy, and proper execution.
{3} LR (lightning Rage) Dagon Comp, strategy...
{4} The new September Update and its effects on the dragon composition, New ideas to incorporate it, and strategies to exploit it's potential for air Supremacy.

{1} So I'm currently 4700+ and been using max drags to consistently two star almost every base. I have been as high as 4880 with dragons and as low as 4400. So my range of knowledge for using them is fairly limited to titans lv players. I speculate that by following my guide any lv player would benefit from using its designs.

As a titan player you quickly learn that not only must you play multiple sessions daily to progress but you cannot afford to lose raids. Therefor, in my search for consistency I the trifecta of gowiwi and lavaloonion and dragons. The results were crystal clear In a month span of using each I lost 3x as much a month with gowiwi and 2x as much with lavaloonion then I did with dragons where I would lose maybe once every two weeks. Not only was I losing alot less but with dragons you will come to feel 99% comfortable attacking any base design for two stars. So without further adiue lets begin with my current and favorite composition of dragons The Rage Freeze!!! For the remainder of this guide assume all troops, spells, hero's and buildings mentioned are max unless otherwise noted.

{2}RF Rage freeze D-Fragging
composition is
Spells:3Rage 2Freeze
Dark Spells(DSpell) 1poison
Dark Troops(Dtroopers) 2 hogs
Troops 11Drags 10 arch
CC (Lava+loon)
First knowing that 99% of cc's at titan league use lava+filler use hogs lure out hound. Use archers slowly to lure hound to corner that you intend to attack from. Typically attack from side that is away from air-sweeper direction. Towards aq but away from king and if possible towards a multi inferno. Also ideally outside of any defense range. Deploy two drags to kill hound. Before hound explodes drop 4 archers to distract pups. Wait until two drags clear up pups then deploy cc spread drags n V for corner or L for squares rage twice on each side of drags to rush the ad. Freeze ad aq if necessary. Clear as much as possible then usually after drags clear at 46% plus at least one inferno down. Use king clear outside buildings get 50% send aq middle. Aq ai is very unreliable right now so use any remaining archers to plan her path. Once she enters near Th core predeploy poison in-front of her to vanquish any hidden skelly traps. Refer to this picture to further reinforce the actions.

Now for the cliff notes version of whats going on in order
1) Deploy hogs at top they aggro to nearest def which most likely is archer tower, cc in range and triggered for he sake of this event lets assume that like 99% of filled def cc its a hound and something for filler. All units lured from cc.

2) Decide what side to attack from. To figure this out we look at a number of features on the base.
a) Aq and king side and location (ideally you want your dragons to kill aq on the way to core but not be distracted by king as his high Hp will likely cause your drags to get stuck while being sprayed by much dps from inner defenses.)
b)Infernos on multi or single
c) Is side I want to attack have space for me to kill hound without aggro defenses.
d) Ad location (are the towards outside of base or are they centralized)
e) Air sweeper location and direction.
In this situation based on the facts mentioned above all taken into consideration deduce the easiest and most % path for your drags to clear there way into core. I have chosen to attack from top left spread across in an L formation because it only has one air sweeper that may hit few dragons on top right, It is side of aq but away from king, the ad on that side are both easily accessible by my dragons, and it has a corner where I can lure and kill the lavahound.
Now this may seem like alot but using the 30 seconds of decision time before the clock starts you can deduce your strategy then and overtime your eyes will naturally scan the base and produce the best path quickly. With dragons there is much less variance in each attack because unlike loons that only target defenses and hounds that only target ad or golems that often go on the marry go round in base drags move from structure to structure in a much more linear path.

3) Slowly deploy your archers one at time until hound and other cc troops are in corner(top left for this example) On very edge deploy two dragons which should in this case be out of range of archer tower or any other defense.

4) Two dragons have successfully killed hound before hound explodes into pups deploy 3 archers if possible to distract pups aggro away from drags(they do surprisingly high damage) Now deploy cc towards the innermost air defense once hound has aggro of the defenses quickly deploy 4 dragons in a small line to help push ad. On top deploy another 4 dragons in small group across to rush other Ad(air defense) deploy any remaining drags on corner to help the initial two dragons clear and thus completing the L shape.

5) Be ready to drop your two rage spells one by cc deployment drag group and other by top ad drag group this will ensure maximum dragons survive to core by quelling the current biggest threat.

6) The dragons remaining usually 4-7 will be headed through to core and aggro Aq(archer queen) in this situation it is best to freeze the aq along with as many telsas, infernos or other defense with high dps as possible. Second freeze and third rage should be used as group enters twoards core to help them rush multi/single (in this case single inferno while freeze cathes the single and possibly aq or few tesla.

7) final step is one of three based on your %;
a) Your % is >47% send few archers remaining to path out wall for heroes to cut through on way to core. In this case I would suggest the top left as the compartments are clear and only structures to target is th(townhall or other central core buildings. After archers deploy king then aq once path confirmed. They will head to core trigger skeleton traps predeploy poison as they reach core so that it is in-front of aq protecting her from being distracted. After clearing any remaining central buildings aq targets th king is probably dead but he did his job as tank of defenses. End results typically two

b) Your % is less than 47 but greater than 42% Send your king to position two on map along with all but one archer( first check for snipe-able buildings for archers outside of defense range, there are none in this case). King clears outside structures works his way in and secures 50% while Aq is deployed on top on her own and attempts to take th. Now if for whatever reason the single inferno and cc building still alive or no chance of aq getting th alone just secure one star as the way to move up in titans is to not take risk and lose unless its a +50 then yolo.

c) Your % is <40% ♥♥♥♥ happens and you clearly didn't have good luck or maybe deployed improper, failed lure cc whatever it happens don't freak out yet. Instead of splitting heroes or sending them both to position 1 send them both to position 2 It is far enough away from enemy Bk to avoid alerting him but has the most buildings for % in the area. My two lv 40 heroes can often salvage a raid especially on square compartmentalized bases because, ther is low dps as defensive structure's spread more widely and the collectors/barracks are often stacked close two outer compartments. Deploy one archer first to check for gb(giant bombs) Then king once defenses target king deploy Aq. While I strongly despise the aq new ai the only time it is useful is when going for 50% she doesn't target any walls until there is no building on outside within her fairly large range that she can shoot over wall.
Regardless of which of these three endings you use the result is a win 99% of time and you will come out smelling like fresh bacon instead of the losing stench of dirty pickle.

8) When choosing this army for war I select the following base types,
a) outer rim ad
b) multi infernos
c) square bases
d) crossbows down(lol nobody should ever have that in war)
e) lurable cc

{3}LR (Lightning Rage) Dragon Bolt
Composition
Spells: 3Lightning 2Rage
Dark Spell 1Poison
Troops 10drag 4loon 10arch
dark troop 2hogs
CC 1 hound 1 loon
Very similar composition however I find that the Lightning is ideal for bases with inner ad and for players newer to dragons as it enables players to rely less on spell timing and dragon deployment and still be relatively successful. But I find the downside is that 50% is easier but clearing core or th becomes near impossible.

Steps for success
1)determine side to attack from based on same principles from RF strat.
2)Lightning innermost ad if ad is near cc lure first then as cc troops move to outer rim to attack archer drop lightning on ad and maybe catch few of them.
3) complete lure by drawing hound/golem whatever in cc into corner and wreak it with two drags.
4) upon hounds death deploy drags in L or V formation again I recommend splitting into two side of base like with RF to ensure proper % and target two ad. With cc go for second ad and deploy 3-4 drags behind it in small line on other side deploy rest of drags but first deploy loons to check for black air mines or option two deploy loons behind cc troops to be tanked for by hound and crush ad.
5) Use first rage to get second ad taken down then use second rage to give final group of drags nearing core that final push.
6) Repeat hero deployment options as implemented above in RF
7) Profit dance for you have succeed in crushing your opponents defensive dreams.

{4} Now for my favorite part! September update and its effects on Dragons raiding party.
Spell rework videos on galadons channel have revealed that with two lightning and one earthquake you can destroy a max ad. Therefor, I predict that using spell combo lightning 2 earthquake and one poison could be very efficient for crushing 50% a base both ad down on a side will enable drags to be fairly unchallenged until core of base. I assume that this will be a consistent army on most bases. New walls will not affect drags apart from making it harder to lure at times. But with lavahound no longer aggro to drags this will mean that the arch nemesis of drag raids will be afk. All archers may make a return But poison balance doesn't seem to stop it from wreaking small units.

Thank you for reading my post I hope it offered some insight into higher lv drag raids and how you too can be a expert dragon raider. If people would like I can offer more pictures to show proper deployment on common bases but if not that's ok too. Senri14 wishes you happy update day!!!
