Try searching for 'the Valhalla files' on the forum... There's an entire clan devoted to making them work in different situations
Every war raid I have ever seen, that used Valks have failed lol. Not being funny, if I see a valk in the mix, it's insta fail for some reason. Maybe people don't know how to use them, or Valks just suck, jury is still out. But my feelings are there are much better uses for that 8 space.

I very rarely use Valks in my war raids, but when I do it's usually a 3 star attack with several Valks still alive at the end. They aren't for every base and you have to know how to get them where you want them, but if you do they are quite powerful.
Join Valhalla - you'll see lots of successful Valks raids in a really short period of time

Pretty much exactly how I use them. Great vids.
As a th9 I use valks against a base with 4 core ADs. A wide funnel with 1-2 golems...then drop my heroes and valks with a jump spell. At least one heal spell on the valks in the core and they typically take everything out. Then 1-2 loons per defense around the ring.
I really only use them in this situation although I do know the gowiva (2 star mostly) is a pretty effective and easy one to use. Ive seen many other valk attacks work on youtube but I personally find goho or golaloon is more effective for my skill level getting the 3 star on max def th9s.

If you pull cc and have lower level heroes, try swapping a few wizzies on your kill squad for a few valks if you are doing cold blooded, makes a huge difference. As I was saying earlier, the AQ can sit back and take out the flanks by herself, and don't have to worry about wizzies getting taken out by mortars or wiz towers or anything else.
Imagine if valks created a tornado that hit flying enemies as well. Might be a bit OP, but everyone would start using them on kill squads. I'll put that in the suggestion forum.

So make valks OP so people start using them then nerf them back to balanced status? Sounds like SC modus operandi.
