Do the formers/community have a voice anymore?

Folks like you who spend hundreds of dollars to gem hero time wouldn't know what it's like for the majority of players who do not wish to spend an unreasonable amount of money just to not sit out of war for a year.

It annoys me when players argue against letting heroes be used in war, when such would clearly make many players happy and make war and the game in general much more fun. You're argument is that you had to suffer (i.e. pay) so everyone else should suffer, and that we should just deal with this flaw rather than complaining, but it would be better if supercell removed the flaw altogether.

Anyway, been upgrading heroes for a month now, haven't been able to do nearly as well in war since. Still have months and months to go before I fully upgrade them, but I'll continue to "deal with it"!

Why should Supercell cater to players who will never spend a cent on a great game?

I don't mind spending money on the game, but the amount of money required to gem heroes is ridiculous. It takes 1000 gems, almost $10, just to gem one level of one hero. There are 40 hero levels and two heroes. I don't mind spending 10, 20 or 30 dollars on the game (in addition to the 30 dollars Ive already spent) to use heroes, but I don't want to have to spend hundreds. This is a free-to-play game. Its one thing to spend money to progress ahead and get more enjoyment, and its another to to be almost forced spend an unreasonable amount for a feature that the super majority of players think should be provided anyway.

Also, unlike an xbow, heroes have 40 levels. And war is a big part of the game, a very fun aspect that many clashers, including myself, look forward to. Players that do not spend a ridiculous amount of money on the game should still be able to enjoy it.

I agree, but no one is stopping you from going to war without Heros. No one is forcing you to opt in for every single war. There are a ton of options for people, yet everyone only wants the easy way out. And if they can't have it served on a silver platter then Supercell are greedy or the game is unfair or whatever complaints I've heard a hundred times on these forums.

Wait until all these guys hit th10 and build times hit 14 days. Are they going to cry that it's no fair because they can't effectively defend there base?

Because no matter what Supercell gives to community, there will always be people unhappy about it. For example, I'm not happy with the new walls update because it means I have to grind more. But do I complain? No, cause the majority of the players are content and new walls for th 10 has been asked several times before too.

Even if you say majority of the forum want this or that, the forum is only a small part of all clashers. None of the member in my clan have active forum account although they do visit the forum just for the sake to see sneak peeks.

If Supercell gives the community every single thing that we asked for, clash of clans will have much smaller revenue and the game would probably be lame.

What options are there for a player who likes to war and wants to max his heroes? Besides spending a ridiculous sum of money?
