Maybe, but I refuse to play any of their other games. Lost revenue for sure.

I, and many others, are the type that will spend money if I don't feel taken advantage of. With heroes, that is how I feel, so I decided to stop spending money on this game, and refuse to play or even pick up any of their other games.

I'm probably not the only one, and I can tell you right now, they might be rich at the moment, but it isn't how you stick around and make money over the long term.

The ideas forum has been a wishing well. Worse is that 'ruled out ideas' have actually been put into game while 'ruled out ideas' are not to be discussed. Whether they are 'allowed' or not, discussions happen and will continue to happen on 'ruled out ideas' that are now in game and 'ruled out ideas' that are not in game.

What does this ambiguity do to free discussion? You can shout down and ban everyone you like and they just keep coming back again and again. This frustration can be seen by anyone who has frequented the ideas forum and seem the same ideas over and over.

Where SC has failed, here, is going back on 'ruled out' ideas. You know what they are. These were good ideas, these were ideas that would break the game. Welcome to the new updates, tell us what you like about them, is the game broken yet?

Going back to people coming back, not all of us do, at least not here. I play they game, true. The forums have become a resource, but less and less a valid one. This it the first post in a long time and I see many familiar and favourite 'faces' that have abandoned this place.

It's nice to have a community to build ideas, figure the game, and forge alliances. The first two are a dream and thrawted by SC's policy and volunteers, and there must be better places for the third.

I didn't think this post would evolve this way, apologies to the OP, I hope I haven't just been babling into the void

Supercell is rich by creating a game that we enjoy. Supercell will not continue to be rich if they continue to ignore the features we want/ fix the mod issues.

companys like those who made VainGlory actually care about their fans more so than clash and is evident by the amount of updates given/ the subliminal messages of "Don't neglect your loved ones for VainGlory ." That's a caring company. Not one to allow mods to stay because they make money.

As far as Quests are concerned, God knows how many times Maurika had said that Quests were seriously considered at SC HQ. In Daddy's video, and in Maurika's comment on the Mastermind thread, Quests had been debated about and favoured out for Clan Wars. And look, we DID get CW.

I wish people would stop complaining for just one, just one single day. I've actually yet to see that happen, though.

Anyways, you may dry your tears on the October update, SC is saying it's big. Otherwise, please, just deal with it and move on.

EDIT: IFR being overrun with spam is a moderator issue, i don't think it was ever given a high priority. Though you're right about that part, mods should be a little more strict with that section.
Well if it was being considered around the time clan wars was implemented then that's a damn long time after clan wars where it could've been developed. Its currently by far the best idea on the forums.

It is the best because it effects everyone right when it's released, not 2 years later like th11 would and not only if you do wars. Quests would literally be available for everyone and unless it's just finishing up th10 these are the kinds of updates we need.

Quests would greatly improve interest in the game for some of those high level players grinding out walls. Having a daily focus that you could do along with wall grinding would be great not only for the higher players and not only for a specific meta.

We NEED quests sooner or soonish.

I very much agree with you on your post and certainly appreciate the time you took to make it. The forums are more so like a home in the virtual world for some of us. And a lot of us find it as a good source of fun and laughter and other times a hair pulling fight.

People have abandoned this site several times and likely won't come back. Regardless wether we want them to or not. The reasons for those in the IFR is simply due to the frustration caused by it. I am one of those people who were active there. The majority of my post are in that section till I like many others; left it.

You can't argue it's not nice to have a community like we do; but it's certainly one that is dying more so over time and will ultimately die out like several big communities do.

Thats the way the world works.

Go play candy crush if your sick of COC :)

Heroes in war is not that important imo if you want it pay to play its pretty simple, as for supercell putting out big updates we got two new TH levels multiple troops heroes just recently we got more spells whether you like them or not is irrelevant and the. We got Clan wars just 16 or so months ago and since then we got clan perks added to them as well as hounds. For a game that you have the ability to play completely for free and is still fun (to some people lol) how much more do you want from SC?

They constantly listen to both the voice of the players AND the actual in-game data.

You've been around long enough to know that game balancing is required and constantly tweaked so that items (mainly troops/spells) don't get completely ignored OR over used.

The trouble with big updates is that they take so long to implement and Supercell will never admit to actually working on them.

If you look in the stickies you'll see a full list of player requested features which are now in the game. You know this though.

If you look Into the stickies you see a full list of players ideas that were ruled out but also added to the game. That just shows you how little that list means.

Big updates take a long time. I agree. But the biggest update we have seen since clan wars were leagues. And that was really simple to do. Clan ranks were also big but nothing in the 2 years have topped the clan wars. I'm not going to argue or debate wether or not the big update is coming because it is. What I'm concerned about is the state of this forum and the community as a whole and wether or not if we seem to matter as the IFR is really a place of voices of ideas posted over and over and bumped and bumped that will not get into the game in a reasonable manner.

What really gripes me is how out of touch they apparently are with their end-game players. They are actually adding 7 day shields to Titan 2 and 3 in the update. It's unbelievable. Surely they collect data for players up here and how incredibly difficult it is to play their game at high trophy levels. Haven't they seen the multitude of forum posts lately from frustrated Titan league players here complaining about having nobody to attack? I'm in the top trophy clan in my country and when I told them they all groaned about this 7 day shield thing. We don't want 7 day shields up here. It means even less players to attack. Instead of fixing issues up here they are actually going to make things worse. I'll be dropping as soon as the update hits... It's just a complete waste of time playing the game the way they intended us to play it for trophies which is a real shame.
