Fair enough. I can see that you are an old time gamer and I respect that.

You lost your cool a bit faced with a whirlwind of opposition (some of which was logical, some childish). I can sympathise with that too.

But have you entertained the possibility that you might actually be wrong in this case? Or at least, that it's not as clear cut as you first argued?

TH8 is such a big joke. Same as TH6. If I were you I'd go and upgrade to TH9 asap. I myself totally skipped th8 (immediately upgraded the town hall upon completion from TH7) and I have never regretted it. If your clan does not allow you to rush a bit then that clan surely is not for you, time to hop now bunny.

The following are enough to convince me to never delve on dismal th8:

Elixir for walls <----I can't emphasize this enough, I hated watching my elix storages constantly full when I was th7
    Level 6 drills
    Archer Queen
    level 6 giants

No, I have not, because maybe 2 posts not including yours have been sound without some kind of smug internet memery. Which I instantly dismiss as some idiot kid. Seeing as how you acknowledge that some of it is childish means to me by my own bias than 80% of it is childish memery conjecture, and can eat a supersized bag of ♥♥♥♥s.

Point 3 is pretty compelling on its own though - and very particular to TH8s.
That's why after rushing for some time, I realised there are only 2 valid stop points for rushing, TH9 and TH10. There is no point maxing any TH before because points 1,2,4,6. The only valid reason for maxing, I find, is that "I want to enjoy the journey". Though I must admit that rushing to TH9 and staying there to max is a more fun journey than maxing every single TH

Sorry, but obviously you're not very well educated on the foundations of good hybrid attacks. Good to note, learning hog pathing, goho, govalo, govaho, are fantastic strats you can start doing as a th8. TH8 is probably the best place to start learning about hog pathing and heal placement. Learning about funneling valks this early will help you in the long run. There are plenty of fun war strategies you can try as a TH8. This comment you made here proves how naive you are to war strats.

More troops to chose from. As in valks, golems, and pekkas. As well as more levels on every other troop. A th8 can destroy a th7 just as easily as a th9 can wreck a th8.
