    Issue with more walls at TH10

    Is it just me or is one of the biggest issues with TH10 right now, the fact that it's a two star battle in war, for 99% of the people?? Most attacks(95%+ imho) are golem/ground based at TH10 and they are adding more walls??!!!! I don't get it?? Maybe there is an awesome DE troop coming that will counter this??

    Maxed TH10s are already tough to 2 star even sometimes. I mean is 1 star going to be the new 2 star lol??

    No, they are trying to counter golem attacks by adding new walls so TH10 bases become more compartmentized so golems can't steamroll the base like they used to. They also want a mix of air and ground attacks, thus removing the lava hound's ability to attack air (which makes no sense if minions can)

    This is just going to increase use of 2-3 jump golem steamrolls.

    It will make attacking even more stupid.


    Just fought in a war where every opponent TH10 used 4 jumps and 4-6 golems, lol

    If they stop golem attacks, what is left?? They didn't enhance air attacks in any way, the lava hound change is so nothing it's not even funny. Lava hounds do like 10dps, they couldn't even take out one loon!!

    Getting even 2 stars is going to be even tougher now and they should have been going the other way, allowing a better 3 star possibility for a TH10 vs TH10.

    Well, with more fails and one stars it has the potential to break the TH10 war stalemate.

    Likewise, in the trophy game it should lead to more fails, which raises the bar for attacking skill required to move upwards in cups - at least in theory.

    Overall, it can be painful, but I feel the game has more integrity by moving away from pay to win, which I believe we can say has happened rather decisively for TH10's going back a year or so.

    I've wanted more walls since I became th10 a year ago. Now I can finally realize my vision of a layout I had though of at the same time

    True, it might not work and there's also some odd unintended consequences of the defensive buffs. For example, recently I've seen a number of what I would describe as "blob bases" that basically have almost all of the defenses in the middle of a 5 compartment base which leads to some really ugly gameplay (these are totally distinct from ring bases, I should add).

    The balancing is delicate; creating a critique of TH10 battles going back a year when offense was so heavy in relation to defense would create an even more brutal narrative IMO. (the 'faceroll with max heroes' era).

    It's not the amount of walls that make TH10 hard to 3-star. TH9 currently has the same amount of walls as TH10. It's TH10's defenses. If they wanted to make TH10s easier to be 3-starred, they would give TH10 an offense boost strong enough to counter those defenses.

    But it makes sense to me to add 25 walls based on nothing more than the amount of buildings at TH10.

    As as you can see, every single town hall level gets extra walls except TH10.

    Pretty sure the new walls are there to make space for th11 - which Would be awesome!!!

    Adding more walls doesn't mean bases are going to become more compartmentalised. It just means the spread out base designs that are so common will now be even more spread out.
