Thank you game designers for the new, shiny soup kitchen....

LOL, we male forumers haven't won in the BvG thread in months and I think the drought will continue.

It's gotten so bad a female forumer is trash-talking on another thread. I would say "Bring it on!" but the female forumers don't need more motivation to beat us like a drum.

Yes, best not to rile the Grandmothers of Anarchy, it could get very ugly.

As someone said, the new soup kitchen with the skull-face white drawers would fit into the town. However, not on my farm. It was one of my favorites. Very sad.

It is interesting that there are farmers who like it. I suspect that means we can expect to see our farms slowly evolve in that direction.
I believe everyone survived the smelter and jam maker designs. I think there was a 12-step recovery program. Hang in there people!

I do want the tables back

How is it not legitimate to provide feedback, positive or negative - not that SC takes any notice of what we say? Is not the forum a microcosm of all players, or are the people on the forum a breed apart who think differently from all other HD players? There's a pretty good chance that it is a fairly representative sample of all players.
I would really like the table and chairs back on the pasta kitchen. The pasta dishes hang in midair now. Its really strange looking. I'm not a fan at all of the Barbie Dream Kitchen soup maker. It doesnt match anything food production related except the blender. I dont count the candy maker as food. My opinion is all I have. I will still load product in it, pick up my soup and distribute it as needed but I will do it with eyes closed.

Thank you Holidae for the walk down memory lane.

IMO, the JamMaker looks like barrels used to collect rain and the Smelters look like Daleks wearing Technicolor dreamcoats.

Suuuuuure, these new things don't really match stylistically, and they don't go together in a harmonious vision, but we are OBVIOUSLY not doing THAT anymore.

What are YOUR suggestions for what should be the next redesign away from something that looks like it actually might belong on a farm?

Can the ducks use it too? Don't be quackers.

why can't we do this instead????

Ok, so after the first one, I laughed beacuse it was funny and clever, and echoed my sentiments exactly. Then smallchange's comment with the googly eyes made it even funnier. Anddddd then came the rest and I just lost it!!!!!!! THANK YOU for that! I haven't laughed this hard in monthssssss. Though the ugly monstrosity of a machine will stay behind a tree on my farm, your comments made it all the more bearable for those rare moments when part of it peeks through, or when i accidently move the tree elsewhere lol; not because I'll tolerate more, but because I'll probably be dieing of laughter all over again . Seriously, thank you for the free therapy. Makes me miss the forums a bit, then again, maybe not so much with all the craziness that's unfolded the last couple of days.

I really hope they read this read; lots of constructive criticism, and I would add to it that aesthetically, this machine "update", along with a few other machines....ahem, the UFO, don't fit into the fabric of what makes HD HD, from a design, look, and feel perspective. Yes it's a special place where the crops never wither and the animals don't starve to death, but design team, please, let's not get carried away into an easy bake oven-my little pony-strawberry Shortcake world.....

Anyways, thank you for the awesome comedy.

Actually, I like this jam maker design better than the one we now have. I probably would have had the old version out on display, whereas the new one has been hidden behind trees since the day I bought it. My "new" soup kitchen is now also completely hidden behind a glorious stand of red trees.

Still really sad about my pasta kitchen table and chairs.

    New soup kitchen

It is cute and I like turquoise, but I prefer the old rustic one. I cant understand redoing something and us needing new products. Like a taco maker, peaches, avocado, sour cream and such.

You know what would be amazingly cool? If the artists could freely design their hearts out for each machine.
Then the team could pick out their two favorites for each piece of production equipment. So, at greatly-increased memory-storage and computer processing requirements (my apologies SC) they allow us (through a little toggle button) to choose which version of each machine we like the best.

That way, one farm could have all wood and cast iron equipment, another farm could have UFO's and pastels. Farmers could even mix it up, if they wanted to. If they get bored with the look of a machine, they could press the little button and presto-chango, they have a new design.

If the option was free, everyone could customize their farms with freedom and joy (and not have to hide equipment behind trees). If it cost a few diamonds to change, that could help reimburse SC for the additional computer demands.

If this could be done, I'd love this feature!
