Its way overkill, But as the Top TH9 (and only TH9) in my clan we have wars where some of our TH8's struggle against other TH8's we face, I need to step in and clean up. The last war their top TH9 got a 95% 2 star on the Max TH8 he attacked and honestly, I think he failed because he just was too confidant and didn't really execute it well.

I sent in my lavaloonian attack and was done in 1:40 .... 3 stars. We won the war 44-42.

It does satisfy your needs from the point of the thread title. most foolproof and efficient strategy (it's nearly zero brainpower/planning required). Putting a hound, two or three into your loonion makes it more foolproof.

In a fairly easy war, one of our members hit a TH8 with 8 hounds, 2 loons. Got the 3 star without using any spells or heros.

Loonion is more effective and profitable than dragloon with death loons.

As for the rage vs heal debate, rages make sense for laloons because the way to minimize damage is to kill the ads fast and have the hounds burst at the right time. Th8 ads are the only things which do marginally more damage than your heal spell heals meaning your clump of loons leaves the spell area with more health than they would if you went rage, even though the rage killed stuff faster, but that doesn't matter if you just get your health back.

Yes, I agree that it fits the thread title better from the no-brainer aspect... I was just offering a counter with one of my underlying reasons for my preference.

How the hell did he get any of those hounds to pop? Haha

Not in terms of the most important resource

I really don't get a chance to hit TH8s anymore, since I have several TH9s under me, but when I was getting them occasionally on cleanup, I was trying to get my lavaloonion down under 1:30, and never quite made it.

♥♥♥... Just do 3 lighting spells and 8 dragons with balloons... I made my girlfriend attack some th8 in war after I zapped the ad and she had no clue whatsoever and she three starred the opponent... Is a no brainer.

I don't think 20 minions worth of DE is really going to break the bank. I'd rather have 200 DE than the marginal 150,000 elixir or whatever bringing dragons would cost extra.. If you can't turn 150k E into 200 DE then you have bigger problems, especially given the additional time that dragons take to train in the barracks leading to an even higher opportunity cost. If you're going to tell me that dragloon is more efficient than loonion, I'm just going to laugh at you.

And seriously? You guys act like TH8s don't have any defenses at all in your attempts to sound cool (right before you get the 95% two star because you didn't think your attack took any planning). Level 3 hounds have 6700 hp, let's call it 5000 after they hit a SAM. 2 level 6 air defenses would do 460 dps, so basically this means that if the air defenses are covering each other the hound is going to live no longer than 10-12 seconds.

I've seen that come WAY too close to failure on maxed 8s even with proper planning, and it's twice as expensive as a loonion while taking longer to train for maybe 70% of the attack strength. While your stupid dragons are huffing and puffing on storages, my mass of loons is soaring right over them and destroying them while having far more DPS and HP than your dragons.

    I use lavaloonion

    2 hounds
    28 baloons
    10 minionns
air troops in the clan castle
    3 rage 2 haste 1 poion

Have tried it at least 20 times and have always got 3 star.
