Idk why he didn't just say what the troops were for. It's usually quite easy to find people willing to be generous on global. However, there's no way I'd be running to his clan and then to the enemy clan over some troops. Fun story though.

Its not about the troops. Not even close. Its about the principle. Dont come over lying and being a jerkface and expect to get away with it.

Yep, some guy on global asked me for a maxed golem for a war attack, I let him join and gave him one.

I too give troops to players for war attacks.
Main problem is the global chat usually goes

SOMEGUY: phil give me max pekka
(first comment thing SOMEGUY has even said to me)
ME: sorry someguy, haven't got one
SOMEGUY: gem me one
ME: goodluck with that

if it was

(some chat with over a few minutes)
someNICEguy: hey phil, do you think I could have some wizards for a war attack please?
ME: sure someNCIEguy, give me a second

Great story, I really enjoyed it. Though if it was me, I wouldn't bother and just gave him baloons and kicked him.

AWESOME job OP! I wish there was an over 18 CoC. I'm sick of all the immature hopping or screwing clans by leaving during wars. And people take it seriously because they've put a lot of time and probably money into playing the game. If you don't understand competition then... Well, what you are can't be said on here.

The guy got what he deserved. It has nothing to do with 5 little loons. OP probably wipes his ♥♥♥♥ with that much elixir, it's the fact the came over just to lie for troops and be an ♥♥♥ after he got what he wanted.
