Level 30 King and Queen, worth it?

The issue is you will max th9 years before any normal nongemmer will max heroes. I went to th10 with 17/17. My heroes are now 18/19. I just 2 starred a close to max base for 70%. Will I 3 star? Nope. But I can't sit at th9 just grinding hero levels with 5 sleeping builders. Not very efficient.

@OP it is far more than just worth it. However if you don't plan on just 2 starring and being happy than no it doesn't matter

30/30 heroes by TH10 isn't a must, but it sure helps at the start of TH10 if you don't have to divide your builder times between catching up on heroes and actual TH10 upgrades, both of which are quite costly timewise.

Spending the time at TH9 to max and war with 30/30 heroes will allow you time to properly develop the skill to take on TH10s without the TH10 stuff. This will also allow you the time to properly explore your TH9 war attack options which means if you go to TH10, you won't be one of those TH10s who can't even 3 star TH9s (don't laugh, seen plenty of these around who just spam TH10 attack strategies and hope for the 3 star).

Having 30/30 heroes at the start of TH10 also makes 2-3 starring rushed/early/mid TH10s a lot more feasible in war without having the need of TH10 lab upgrades early on. Freeze takes a month of lab time to be useful and having lower heroes will mean your strats will rely more on freeze than if your heroes were higher.

So my background. I am a th10 now with a level 37 king and 40 AQ. I went to th10 with a level 15 king and 14 queen.

For me if you are into war then max your heroes (and even consider not bothering with th10 because it is hard to 3 star high end tens without .....). I massively regretted not doing so as war became rubbish and I stopped enjoying it, I am finally starting to enjoy it again now though.

If you just want to max your base and enjoy farming but are not bothered so much by war then go when research is finished.

Not long till 30/30 Heroes.

I'm going fully max th9 - 250 Lavas, 30/30 Heroes, and all lab upgrades - to make the transition to th10 as easy as possible.

It will always come down to personal preference, and more importantly, how hard you can farm.

Myself and a Clan member were having the same discussion. We both maxed all TH9 buildings and lab at the same time.

I went to TH10 with all lego's, about 30 lavas and 17/17 heroes, he has stayed at TH9. I hit TH10 in the 1st week of July.

He is currently still a TH9 with a lvl 29 AQ, but a lvl 12 BK. Has about 180 lavas.

I'm now on lvl 25 AQ, lvl 22 BK. Have 76 lavas. That's as well as :

Maxed Freeze
Troops Maxed : Wiz, Pekka, Golem, Hounds (as well as all those maxed at TH9)

Add to that : All new Elxir builds completed (Lix now just used for troops and walls), 2 lvl 3 IT, all lvl 8 Tesla, Maxed Wiz Towers, and other defences on the way.


To me that just seemed more efficient. By the time he maxes his AQ and BK, we will both have 30/30 heroes, but I will have all the troops, defences etc of a TH10, whilst he is just starting out.

An isolated case I know, but how efficient you can farm has to be taken into account.

I just hear it in paper and never see it.

queen lvl1-30 needs 157.5 days and king needs 135 days.
All th9 upgrades needs around 160 days with 5 builders.
conclusion as you stated: a max th8 should upgrade both heroes non stop for 160 days.
I never see such a th9 here or in game. even if they dont war at all farming de for 160 days non stop is not possible. some days you need rest, you go to vacation and ... 160 days is a lot of time.

I did it myself, which is how I knew it was possible. You don't see it because of the boatload of bad advice people give whenever a TH9 asks where to farm. You hear garbage responses like gold league and silver league which are given by people that neglected their heroes for most of TH9. TH9 is all about DE. It should be your first, second, and third concern. Nothing else matters. Gold and elixir will take care of itself if you follow the DE.

Keep in mind as well that if you are upgrading both heroes non-stop you only have 3 builders left for your other building upgrades. One of the reasons people think heroes take so long and buildings are so quick is that people that neglect their heroes have 4 or even 5 builders doing building upgrades while people that focus on heroes always have two builders busy upgrading the heroes leaving 3 at the most for other upgrades.

I am about to max all buildings now at th9,with atleast a couple more months of lab upgrade with 15/16 heroes, i will go to th10'once i got all my lab upgrades max whatever the heroes level are, i cant tolerate having idle builders just to max my heroes,

unless you're going to gem the build time, its way too much of an hassle. I've taken the decision to gem the hero build time and that's that.

Thats wonderful! Just clarify this to myself: you were a max th8 when you enter to th9 and you upgrade both heroes non stop to lvl30?
This is really incredible.
Just upgrading both non stop after lvl20 is really hard.
