leaving during war prep.

Hey guys.

So we had this guy join a couple of weeks ago who has warred with us a couple of times and done ok. Today he just said sorry guys I'm leaving and left during prep day. While it's very frustraiting and little can be done about it I just wanted to get some views from you guys.

We are a pretty serious war clan and this had made it very difficult to get a positive result as we have been matched against a strong clan (10v10 out matched th10s 5v3)

Im sure this topic has been discussed a thousand times but I'm just curious as to see if anything at all could deter this from happening or maybe some sort of contingency (allowing a sub would be pretty cool like a first reserve)

I wish there was some kind of penalty to people who does it! It happened in my clan a few times too and I think 99% of all clans has suffered with it..

That sucks. Unfortunately, all you can do is hope that he returns during battle day and participates in war. Try seeking him out in his new clan (if he hopped) and ask him to return for your current war. Keep your fingers crossed.

The reason there is no penalty is it is impossible to police people leaving for no reason versus a legitimate reason. SC wants none of that.

With that said, the best we can do is never accept someone with a war timer under any circumstance. If people realize they simply can't get into a respectable clan during that timer then hopefully people will learn it does not pay to leave mid war.

No, and me as a leader, I deal with it from time to time, as does everyone else.... Last time we still won by 40 something stars, so if u strategically plan it out, u won't need him...

Hey guys thanks for your feedback. Like I said he'd been with us a week or two we normally don't let people war until they are in clan for 2 weeks

Hate to break it to you but winning by 40+ stars isnt only because of good planning..

This is also what we do. We try to find out more about our new clanmates before letting them participate in wars, and since they need to find the password to join the clan, casual/troll/hopper Clashers don't bother.
