Put 1-2 elixir storages next to your TH in the corner. You'll bleed off elixir, and get a shield almost instantly once you log off.

No special effort required, and you have complete control over your elixir burn rate (just move storages in and out of your base as needed).

What is your reason for not upgrading your town hall?

You're creating a 100% loot penalty for yourself in the form of elixir by staying at TH8 with maxed upgrades.

By moving up to TH9, you open up the ability to spend elixir on camps, spell factory, lab, troops upgrades, etc. And you can spend 1 mil elixir on a lego for every skull you complete with 500k gold.

If you are in an elite war clan just donate a pack of dragons. Everybody will be glad about it and just dont care about being raided. You dont care about elixir and you dump every gold into walls and I assume you have already done all de upgrades.

If you are just a normal player go to th9. As long as you save up 40K for the queen and 6 million elixir for giants lvl6 you are alright. The queen easily compensates the loot penalty and the added defenses (not even counting xbows p) easily compensate the harder attacks. At th9 you have more than enough to do with elixir and in the end you can use it on walls. lvl8 and lvl9 walls can be perfectly done in parallel as the cost per value is the same.

Buy those 2 white flags at 15K each, sell them for 1.5K and repeat. It will take some time to burn through a few million but it will work.

This is my case: I am a Town Hall 8 that has maxed all my gold pumps, barracks, elixir-based troops, spell factories and camps, and everything else that uses elixir. But, I have not maxed walls, which is why I am staying.

As a result, I have full elixir storages (6M elixir) and people keep attacking me for my elixir and end up taking my dark elixir too. So, I must get rid of the elixir.

I have tried:

• Leaving storages out in the open (still working at a net gain)
• charitable donating (again, working at a net gain)

PLEASE HELP!!

I've been experiencing the same problem, I have also completed all elixer upgrades for TH8! I have been training mostly Pekkas, Wizard, 2 rage and 1 heal spell looking to loot gold, which helps finish remaining walls. I have managed to drop from 6 million elixer and am now hovering around 3 million elixer using this strategy. Keep Clashing

I'm in the exact same boat, still have about 100 skulls left.

I just dropped trophy count and set one E storage next to my TH. I believe that pretty much the first person to come by hits me whether they are sniping or not. There are a whole lot more TH7's & 8's out there than 9's and 9's are the ones who will take it all. Had one guy with level 2 barch score big! haha

I'll say again.....during shields 100 level 5 wallbreakers cost 300,000 elixir. Goblin maps are free and do not break shield. Even if you only do 5 of these 50 minute builds during a 12 hour shield you will burn 1.5 million eleixir. I have a th9 that I do this occasionally on so my collectors don't fill.

Make a lot of giant and just gove them to your clan!(No need to be giants)! Its going to give you little bit of gems... Or attack and reach the top leagues like Champions or any thing like that it will give you gems in return.!
