Looks like you need to improve your raiding skills. Having unlimited income will improve your base better than anything else.
Actually i win almost every raid, im just upgrading collectors until they are 11 so im just raiding big bases for fun

ac google it"raid" is a military tactic that basically means to attack a specific target behind enemies lines, its a quick in-and-out, not a big all out attack but a small surprise attack to get what you want (in this case resources) (i know this is VERY short and does not give the full meaning of the word but i'm just trying to help and i can't explain it too well in english)'
also: not sure if you can find it but there should be some really awesome documentaries out there about some of the greatest raids in the history

I usually only go for fun, im not really a hardcore player, so i just go to try to defeat the base.
