Troop Levels vs Defense Levels

I'm matched with a th9 but its missing x bows and archer queens. Think its pretty fresh th9.

8/BK - Upgrading to 9 atm
5/AQ - will work on her 10 after I get BK to 10

3/Giant - 4 in progress

4/Loon
5/Wiz
2/Heal
3/Drag

2/Min
3/Hog
1/Valk
1/Golem
1/Witch
1/Hound

Spells:

5 Light
5 Heal
3 Rage
1 Jump
2 Poison
1 EQ

Ok I just saw this. I'll post my recommend th9 lvls.

All below assume 220 camp space 4 spells and 30 spot cc.

Max th8 lvl golem pekka
Works on new or premie th9s.

Lvl 3 golem lvl 1 witch lvl 3 pekka
Works on mean point defense of 10 with xbows.

Lvl 4 golem lvl 2 witch
Can work on up to max th9 defenses depending on base layout. But generally smashes everything below max defense.

Lvl 4 hogs
Works on premie to mean point defense lvl 10.5

Lvl 5 hogs.
Works on max th9

But honestly your troops are super super rushed and you stand no chance in war. U should sit out for a couple months until u get caught up to max th8 minimum.

I'm just going to assume that the op is asking about war troops.

Well from what I've seen in th8.

Lvl 3 hogs are doable if the mean point defense lvl is 9 or less.

Lvl 4 hogs work on max th8 bases

Lvl 1 golem / pekka
Works on mean point defense of 8.5 or less with tesla lvl 3 or less

Lvl 2 golem / pekka
Works on mean point defense of 9 or less with tesla lvl 4 or less

Max (for th8) golem / pekka
Works on mean point defense of 9.5 or less with tesla lvl 5 or less

All the above assume intelligent base designs and are just general reccomendations.

Mean = average for those non math types. (It's a specific type of average but the most common, the sum divided by the total number)

I'm going to assume that by matched you just mean the base youre supposed to hit. Not your mirror ♥♥.

In my honest opinion I don't think u stand a chance against even a max th8 let alone a new th9. Sorry to break it to ya but you really should have upgraded you troops more before going to th9.

I'll probably shoot hogs an upgrade in a few hours here. Hopefully by next war i'll be able to use those at least. Thanks for the breakdown

Yes this is possible. I was talking about the 3 star.

All my above lvl recommendations are 3 star recommendations.

So to 2 star him run this comp

2 golems 2 pekkas 2 witches 16 wiz 10 wb 2 rage 1 heal 1 jump. 1 cc golem the stronger the better.

Use heal to keep wiz alive. Use rage to get pekkas going in core. Use jump to make sure they go to core. Good luck

If u don't know how to gowipe then it will be rough... but u have time to practice I assume.

That rather depends on how strong his defences are, and the type of opponent he draws.

@OP - with those troops I would try gowiwi - obviously higher level golems and witches are stronger, but unlike most other troops level 1 will function if the target is also weak, or against any TH8

Actually this is incorrect. A gowiwi relies heavily on the golems to tank. Much more so than a gowipe for example. Max golems are a must to have an effective gowiwi.

TH8 giant bombs is darn close to killing lvl3 hogs but not quite.

Even against mid th8 (which I said they work against) lvl3 hogs are always hit and miss, but I would rather use them and go for 3 stars then continue with dragon spam.

The grace period when they hit giant bombs isn't nearly enough, at least with dragon spam you can get two stars, level 3 hogs on a decent TH8 means one or no stars. Level 4 hogs or bust at TH8.
