    Perhaps if you need to clean up a base that has a lavahound in the cc you won't need your queen as you can ignore the hound. Just use a KS with your king and maybe some valks or pekka and only enough wiz to do your funnel. Then hog the rest.

    A base with an easy to pull cc may work as well. Basically as long as it's not a plan that involves your KS taking out the cc on the way in. Not having a queen around for a drag and loons can be painful if your wizards don't target them quickly enough.

    You don't need to sit out!!!

    Simple plan for participating in at least 1 war per week and still keeping on track with hero upgrades;

    1. Do first attack at the very beginning of the war
    2. Rebuild and do second attack immediately. Army/spells shouldn't take much more than 2 hours with reduced spell times.
    3. Put hero down immediately after second attack.
    4. Assuming you do wars at roughly the same time every week then your hero upgrade will be finished around 2 hours in to the war. Spend 20-30 gems to finish the upgrade at the start of the war.
    5. Repeat every week until your heroes are maxxed.

    I only attack bases where I can get away with killing the queen and with my king. So basically GoHo with no bomb placements. Without the queen it's pretty rough...

    What if the time lag bug becomes ridiculous and your upgrade finishes in like 5 hours after? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SC whyyyy

    I would usually sit out, but if for 5 weeks... I see what you're saying. I would keep attacks for cleanup, and attack weak th9s or th8s. Smaller loot bonus for sure, but... Gonna have trouble 3 starring max th9s without your AQ

    GoLavaloon.
    Golem + king as kill squad to take out CC, enemy AQ and AD.
    Follow up with Lavaloon. Mix in a few minions to clean up if needed.

    Don't spam quad/penta lavalonion without CC lure. It doesn't always work against max TH9 with high teens AQ defending and also lots of luck.
    15-Jul-2014 : TH9 [112 Skull, 113 purple crystal] [26-Dec-2013 : Start CoC]

    28-Dec-2014 : TH9 (49 Lava, 192 Lego, 9 Skull) 7 days till TH10 complete.

    lavaloon, lavaloonion, mass witch or a valk attack. At th10, I still muster 2 stars(against TH10's) having only my BK available during upgrades. Valks more than make up for a queen being down, watch some valk attack vids, On both valk and lavaloon, heroes usually just for clean up %.
