What bases? Decent bases, nope.
Get level 4 hogs and level 5 heal, learn to use them. That's your best bet most of the time.
Ok. I have level 1 hogs so..... I am looking for 3 star options that are not dragons.
Do you have level 2 golem and valk? Probably not since DE in the lab should be hogs to 4 first. So, good luck in your search.

Upgrade your hogs through to 4, and then heal to 5.
Drags and rage never work on my base. You have to use lightnings.
