Pushing Sucks: Stuck at ~3900 Trophies. Need help/input.

I think I'm echoing a lot of other posts: pushing is becoming nearly impossible for me lately as I rarely find snipes and I rarely see more than 4-cup offers.

For the last week I've been in the 3890-3940 range but I can't seem to continue forward progress.

Last night I pressed Next for 32 minutes continuously (approx 400+ searches) and this is what I found:

• Two 4-cup offers were the best I saw
• 1 snipe which gained me 1 cup.

So after 35 minutes of "playing" CoC, I had gained 3 cups and logged-off to a -2 snipe for a grand total of 1 cup...

I've heard rumors that you start finding more snipes up near 4000 trophies which is why I'm trying to push further. I see some of my friends that already have 70-80 wins this season up in titans and I know they have full-time jobs so they're not simply playing 12-hours per day...

My 3 questions for people up in Champs 1 and higher:

1. Am I simply in a rut of bad luck/bad cup offers/no snipes?
2. Have I reached a threshold that is only possible to break through by dedicating many hours per day to pressing Next?
3. When can I expect to start finding snipes more often? (and how often do you find them if you're in the 4000-4100 range? Like every 5-10 minutes or like every 20-30 minutes?)

Update: as I've been typing this post I've been pressing next looking for a snipe... approx 25 minutes and no snipes just a lot of wasted time and gold.

I've faced the same challenges but finally managed to reach Titan... Sometimes you indeed only see +1 for hours, but then suddenly find a 40+ trophy offering. I didn't see any difference being now at 4100+ compared to how it was between 3800 and 4100, no snipe either.

Of course if you are only looking for snipes, might take a looooong time. I'm personnaly carrying a full 6 golems 3 jumps army so I can attack nearly any base offering a decent number of trophies !

I did read the thread and your comments did not answer the questions that I had specifically. Your discussion over there mostly related to:

-which army
-reload the game every once in a while
-keep TH outside
-look for big trophy offers


Anybody with a brain in their head knows to look for big cup offers / keep TH outside / use an army that is flexible and you are comfortable with.

Here are my questions again... I'm more interested in the amount of time it may or may not take to continue pushing.

Pushing is not about finding snipes...In my opinion it's a good thing if the game doesn't allow you to get any higher if that's all you can do.

Your have reached a threshold where you have to use real army and start showing skills.

At 4100, I find a valid trophy offer to attack once every hour in average... One out of 10 might be a snipe. I let it to you to make the calculation ;-)

I'm not trying to use snipes as a means of gaining trophies, but rather I am pushing in hopes of finding more snipes. I've heard there are more snipes up around 4000-4100. Again, a few of my friends have 80+ wins this season (25-30+ wins per day) and they're around 4100 cups and they both work full-time jobs (so I know they don't just press next 6 hours at a time). I was hoping to push up high enough to where more of these mythical snipes exist since I actually don't have a ton of time to farm anymore.

I do use a real army: AQ40 and BK25, full spells and max GoWi army. I always hope for snipes while I'm waiting to find a "trophy whale".

Unfortunately you understood it correctly, I probably don't find more than 1 or 2 snipes per day, and I'm playing a lot with boosted barracks... Don't know where this info come that you are finding more snipe above 4000. Might come later but I'm at 4135 and still don't see those.

So, in direct answer: expect and be prepared to search for 30-90 mins each attack if you want to see proper trophies.

I never search without a full army, so can't offer any info on snipes. Last time I was pushing there were a lot in the 3800-4000 range, that may have change.

Remember snipes are like the better offers, snapped up immediately, so you are more likely to find these too with regular reloads.

In short, NO, you can't progress further without significant time investment. Unless got really lucky on searches and really lucky with getting hit for -1 snipes.

I would say to count yourself lucky you aren't a th9 trying the same thing. At 3850ish I am seeing almost exclusively +1 through +4 offer so even on a 2 star I'm still only gaining 1 at a time but on the flip side 2 of my last 3 defenses have been -19 snipes from 3000 range, talk about frustrating.

I knew it would be a big time commitment but I didn't think it was up to 90 minutes for just 1 raid. That is just plain scary.
