Th9: Gowipe is back

Why would you ever go for a 2* on a th9

Because if the top of your war list is TH9, or you have only 1 or 2 TH10s above, then you don't need to 3* the top few bases to win. 2* will be enough there. Better to 2* them first time using 1 mid-level attack and concentrate your best attacks getting 3* a little lower, rather than post 1* results all over the place as a result of death-or-glory attacks on the hardest targets.

Calm down, if you look at my troops then you should realize my pekka and dragon for that matter are last on my research priority. I even maxed valkyrie earlier as they are better for three stars than P.E.K.K.A. I want to give them second look with some army composition adjustment.

I'd used gowiwi to three starred with hogs as cleanup troops. I would expect gowipe with hogs also as cleanup to three stars certain base design.

You got that right. I'm not maxed defenses th9 yet on my clan, I drew some early th10 which is annoying because I struggle to get two stars. I used 5-6 golem attack with either zero or just one star.
There is no th10 on my current clan so PEKKA might easier to two stars if ever draw th10 again.

<sup>Again I'll stand strong on my opinion. GoWiPe has proven time and time again to be a 2 star strate. It's just not the best for wars, as your golems, wizards, and pekkas will be beating on those lego and lava walls at th9 until the time dies off. Honestly, I'd start learning some new strategies, as obviously you have the troops and decent hero levels for that. If you're new to 3 star strategies, I'd start going off easy and learning a basic gohowiwi. Effectively a gowiwi goes and kills queen on a base with only single giant bombs then hogs right behind to wreck the base, or your gowiwi goes in kills queen and all the DGB's and hogs behind. It's just a matter of looking at the base and deciding the best way to approach it. 2 drop hog, asian walls are the most basic hog style drops. You can find more about it using this video:

After you get used to gohowiwi and hog pathing and heal placement, start getting more serious on those bases with tough DGB's with surgical hogs, and start incorporating strats like AQ Walk, GoVaLo or GoVaHo, Stoned GoHo, GoLaLoon etc. I'll put more reference videos below, but to sum up the channels I'd recommend for 3 star strats, I'd use Sweidman CoC, OneHive Raids, Powerbang Gaming, and Clash With Dart. Those have been the most helpful channels for me. Anyhow here's some good strats I've used before
