When I'm farming I care much more about pesky lv7+ mortars tbh.

I'm sure lv3 xbows have a decent intimidation factor to fellow th9s, but your average th10 farmer doesn't care 1 bit. As you've probably guessed from some of the replies.

Isn't it just BRILLIANT? I only ever lose 2/8 storages and my DE never ever gets taken anymore! Plus, now I've added some level 9 and 10 walls to my base, it has a huge intimidation factor. I always get sniped, nothing else. Building xbows was a great decision. Feel sorry for those poor TH8.5s

Don't feel sorry for me at all. I still don't have them and it hasn't mattered at all. yesterday I was sitting with 5 Mil, gold and 7 Mil in elixir (1 more day to dump it into the lab) and over 60k in DE waiting on builders and still got sniped twice.

Xbows are not worth it early in TH9. All skull and lego walls plus a good base design generally get you a snipe

(btw, there is a cap on the amount people can steal from you . it doesn't matter if you have a million or 6 million, they can only steal so much .. )

I always focus on farming first at a new TH level. I end up being a th .5 for a month(or I guess two months now because it's taking longer) just because I focus on the elixir upgrades first and dump gold into walls and traps.

Keeping one resource low is more important in my experiences in masters. Haven't added a defense yet and the few times I have been attacked it's held up surprisingly well. Th9 for about 30 days will all skulls and a few legos at junctions.

Edit: oops, forgot to mention. Xbows don't scare me on the attack anyway, it's more the queens level and position.

I have not regretted planting my x-bows early in TH9, 1 first one was under construction day 1, the second around day 5 or however long it took to upgrade the lab. In a couple of wars since the x-bow were instrumental in holding opponent to 1 star v my base.

I found I got raided a lot more when both were updating to Lvl 2 last week. Since the 2nd one hit L2 on Monday I've had only one serious attack against me. I plan on taking one to L3 later today. We'll see how the attacks against me go.

Might help that I have 52 legos and the rest skulls.

As i have recently witnessed, X-bows have an absolutely disgusting weight in war matchmaking. Seriously, 2 lvl 1 bows look like they jump you up over halfway through TH9 defense upgrades as far as weighting is considered. Would not recommend if you like/care about war.

3K maybe if you forgot to empty your drills but the max a TH10 can take from you with the 90% loot modifier in one raid is

2,250 from storage
1,215 from each FULL L6 drill so x2
324 from a full CC (no clan perks for extra storage)

= 5,004 DE
