I did mine farming in champ with the loot bonus on top. Lots of snipes to be found. Tho bonus isn't added to your grab. So people will claim your a gemmer at times.

I'm in gold 3 hitting th9/10 with 2k + and with a boosted queen healer making 2k per 10 mins. Gibarch would work too, only it trains faster. I'm using queen healer as a break. De is out there, just focus on it.

Super queen with lvl 28 AQ in C1-M2, hitting weaker bases of course. It generally yields more DE per raid than in lower leagues. I boost barracks too, use 0-2 spells per raid and have an alt constantly giving cc wiz. Easily around 20k DE per hr when adding league bonus. What I do is that I slot an upgrade 1 day after AQ, so that she can stay awake and farm for me for 1 day to cap my DE storage
I'm TH10 though, so I'm not sure if my advice applies.
