How do I search a player tag?

Unless they were your facebook friends or they see your forum post, you could try a message in clan chat, looking for members. You could also try asking for them in global. Its a long shot but worked for my clan once, another member was asking for an old member if anyone had seen him and he happened to be in the same global at the same time.

We can't search players using their tag, although that would be a very nice feature. It's not like we could attack their village, anyway.

We can, however, search clans. So if you happened to know what clan they're currently in, that could help.

Yeah like you posted above they're pretty much gone forever unless you get super lucky and find them in global or unless you know what clan there in. In my opinion they should add a way to search players. I don't know why they wouldn't. The only way to keep track of players in game is to have mail from them in your inbox or have them on your Game Center friend list.

Thank goodness there is no player tag search. Who wants to be stalked by some idiot. If you are "friends" you have other methods of communication.

I'm sure there would be a block button or mute like in global lol. Besides, what can really be stalked on CoC?? And some people are just "friends" on a game, and don't see the need to add a random person into my actual social life

You can't search player tags, but the reason they were introduced is so that if a stroller came to your clan and messed it up, got kicked, then changed their name, they still have the same player tag so you know if it's the same person.

I guess you don't understand stalking. lol Block what, an individual account? How long to create a new account? I know folks think it would be a good idea, my hat is off to SC for realizing that it creates more problems than it solves. We may need to agree to disagree.
