Agreed. Walls with no weight were a problem because people with similar defenses but vastly different walls were able to be matched, but at least it punished the one who was lazy and didn't want to upgrade them and rewarded the diligent ones. This system is worse however, because it punishes those who grind them out and rewards those who don't. Grinding your walls out should not be punished.

Agreed. As a max TH9 I stopped warring due to pulling defensively maxed TH10 with pink walls every war.
We told one of our newer members to lightning the cc....He dropped a lightning spell on the actual cc - no luring the troops or anything. Guess we should have been more specific...

    Agree 100%

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make this a go. Can't stand the amount of outmatching that keeps happening to my clan and others due to this.

Agree. I have advised my clan to stop building walls. The matching algorithm over weights them.

Well its not necessarily the walls that are the issue,
Im a lvl 94 TH9 with lvl7 walls and a few level 9's yet i get matched up with either:

Max th9's (sucks but well i have a decent shot at them)
    TH10's (Never had a matchup without a th10 having no inferno's)
and mostly (60% of the time) a decent matched player

It wouldnt really matter how much the wall weigh if TH9 clans just dont get matched with TH10's
of course this would mean you wont get matched up with rushing clans with 5 th10's which have th7 like defenses, but hey! they're no challenge anyways

The problem with making it so that different town halls don't get matched together is that it will make war search time jump up a lot. If you go in war with 2 th10s, 3 th9s, 1 th8, and 4 th7s, you will have to wait not only for a clan with a similar weight as yours, but also with one going to war with the exact same town hall composition. It makes it easier and a lot quicker if you just use similar total weights.

Well i catch your drift there,
but i didnt meant to say that your opponent has to have the exact same setup, i just meant that if you go in war with 3 th9's, 3 th8's 2 7's and a few lower, you wont get matched up with a TH10, yet if you go in with your above given example you could encounter an enemy with 3 TH10's 2 TH9's 3 TH8's and 2 TH7's

Its kinda discriminating against TH10's but every other TH level can (with a little skill/luck) atleast 1-2 Star a townhall a level higher as theirs.
but since TH10 is an end level base, TH9's have about a chance of 10% to survive against those inferno's
