    Ok, so here's my gripe...

    I've worked hard on my walls. I'm talking really hard. Walls set apart the men from the boys in this game. At 4 mil a pop for the 'lectric blue, they certainly don't come easy.

    That said, let's not go overboard and say that they're a game changer.

    With the advent of the lavaloon attack, jump spells and the quake spell, walls are more of a status symbol than an actual defense.

    So, why is it that when I go to start a clan war those daggum walls are counting for so much? As a TH9 with max walls, I never pulled less than one Max TH10 (albeit with crappy walls) to match up against. As a TH10, when I put myself in war, we've consistently drawn more TH10s than we have. The only thing I can think of is....it's these darned walls.

    My theory:

    Walls have defensive value to the matching algorithm which is calculated into the matching process. This defensive value is disproportionate to their actual value in defense.

    My solution:

    Decrease the value of walls when matching clan wars. Or eliminate it completely. Use troop level and defense level to match the wars. Will this give an advantage to folks who have spent a billion plus on their walls? Maybe a little. They've probably earned it.

    Wall weight should not be removed completely, but I do agree that they must weigh a little less

    I dont know what their weight is -- but at mid th9 - with 100% lego walls i am always matching up to rushed th10 players with low level walls and those pesky infernos...

    It's really tricky to get 3 stars against that...

    I would like to see the actual Weight scale posted for all to see - that way players can decide if its smart to upgrade X defence - or maybe go for Y instead...

    Walls weigh too much and are the main reason for mismatches between maxed TH9s and rushed or engineered TH10s. Th9s and Th10s should NOT be matched together because of the HUGE advantage TH10s get. Often maxed TH9s with maxed walls get matched with purple walls, but as the infernos are such a huge weight too, they get matched up.

    Either remove wall weight completely and make the system fair again for maxers or decrease wall weight so TH9s who maxed aren't matched with TH10s who rushed.

    I agree. Walls are a little bit overweighted.They should not be 100% removed, but weigh lesser will help.

    Excuse me for being noobish here but after reading this thread i tried to look for this algorithm/formula to get a picture of how much walls are taken into consideration when trying to find an opponent. Maybe it's me but where do i find this statistic? i wassn't able to find it, does someone else have a clue where to look?

    Agree.

    Currently enjoying advantages with my junior accounts...just don't build the available walls after TH6/7. There are more than enough walls already, and they never did anything to counter dragons anyway.
