The range you see when selecting the tesla while scouting is attack range and not the trigger range. Everything seems normal for me.
If you are asking about counting tiles I did count them and yes there are 7 tiles for attack range

Starts at centre of Tesla, so 1 plus wall 1 plus space 1 plus 3 for cannon with slight angle it's just outside of trigger range. That right?
My title says 'trigger radius'. If you counted 7, then that means the hogs would've triggered the tesla as they are in the 6 tile radius.
The slight curvature of the 'trigger radius' is still within where the hogs are on the green patch of the cannon. The 'attack radius', 7th tile, is outside that green patch.
Isn't it from the centre of the tesla tile to the centre of the sixth tile over the cannon and not from the edges of each tile? By that way the hogs were only slightly out of trigger radius.
