I am an early TH8 and noticed something as I moved up in leagues. When I was in Silver 1/Gold 3 I was constantly getting hit hard by TH9 if I had over 200k available of each resource. I've slowly worked my way up and now am sitting in Gold 1, and the past 10 attacks have been TH snipes. For quite a few of these I had decent loot available.
So am I just getting lucky or is this the norm?
The higher loot bonus makes sniping more attractive. Apart from that are snipes more apparent at gold1, because lower people are pushing to crystal there.

also at gold one, bonus is 100 DE for crystal playesr (who can snipe you), so if you get 10 snipes that take say like 15 seconds each thats like 1k de in 3 mintues?
the more loot you hoard, the more full armies will attack you but if you sit at 100k-200k/100k-200k/1000-1500 people wont go for you in masters

Yup, I'm an 8 month TH sniping veteran. Gold one is where most Th snipers are. I personally prefer the higher leagues, meaning Masters, cuz every single attack gets me 100,000 each i gold and elixir, and 500 dark. So I'm happy up here, but most TH snipers prefer being in Gold or Crystal. Stay in those areas andyou'll be
good.

For the last week or so, snipes seem to have dried up almost completely in Crystal 1/Masters 3.
Before that, I could go with my AQ between main raids (i.e. while army was brewing), and almost guarantee finding at least 2-3 snipes. Now it is rare to find one.
