Am I Crazy (Long Term TH10 Base Strategy)

You will definitely want to max freeze, rage and wizards. That will really help you in attack. Though your heros are still pretty low and will also need some serious focus.

3 starring th10's is a great goal, just in seeing hundred and hundreds of th10 war attacks (granted many where maxed or near maxed th10's) I saw very very few 3 stars. Even fewer if you exclude the attacks with maxed heros. But it's always good to shoot for the stars.

Interesting. I hope I'm not too over zealous thinking I'll be able to 3-star TH10s... I guess I will find out once I hae max freeze if that makes enough of a difference or not.

I know that there is a reason the max 10th 3-stars are popular on youtube, since they are so hard to realistically do, but I hope that 3-staring the mid-level ones is possible with skill. I'm far from amazing attacker, but usually can get my war attacks to go well.

Yes, typically in a th10 clan war a 2 star is a "win" and anything else is a "fail".

I have decent heros and the only 3 stars I would ever expect are on rushed th10's. Even in multiplayer raiding (which is much easier than war) I normally only 3 star opponents who are moderately upgraded, have very poor bases or things like single infernos and ground xbows when attacking with air troops.

i would say targeting 3 star war attacks in war is a nice goal, but probably not very realistic unless you are extremely talented and lucky. In my experience the you tubers that show you 3 stars are picking the 1 in 100 attack. I've even seen great attackers fail on bases (0 stars). Th10 war is nothing like th9 and lower war.

Thanks for the heads up. I can 2-star my equal and above with relative ease (since i am a little rushed), knowing that is the standard for war, i might not worry about slowing down the defenses. I do need to get my king going though, he's woefully behind, and given how much i want a max queen, he's still a second priority haha

I'm little confused (though to be honest the holding back development part for war still evades me), what level are your troops and spells? What are you getting matched up with right now? If it's not a th9 or really rushed th10, why would you want to try and get yo the point where you can 3 star th10's? I don't know about anyone else, but 3 starring a th10 normally means getting a poor war base design or a rushed th10. As you slowly upgrade anything the chances of getting that are going to continue to get smaller and smaller. I'm not sure that's a good goal to focus on. I'd be getting some defences up so you don't get 3 starred.

I agree. For TH9 and below, three star attacks win wars. At TH10 though, it's pretty difficult to three star a well-built, highly leveled base. I consider a two star attack on a TH10 to be a good one.

The way my clan works is mid range th10s such as myself 2 star the top th10s so our few guys with 40/40 heroes can 3 star the bottom few th 10s. Works out well as we only have 3 losses in 3 months. If you 3 all 9s and 2 all 10s with just a few 10s 3 starred you will win almost any non bunny war. It doesnt seem like you will be the top 10 for awhile so Id focus on heroes so you can be someone who can 2 star the top few bases to free up your big boys.
