    Unfair Clanwar 'trick'

If you war a lot you've probaly seen this. Just a example here: When a person or multiple people are upgrading there townhall to the next level so TH8 -> TH9, and say there is still 2 hours left before it's done. Then his clan will search a clanwar and his townhall is done after the matchmaking. This person can now build his AQ and X-bows in clanwar which will make it harder for the other clan to attack him. Is there anyway this can be fixed?

It's really not that big a deal.

Just regular game mechanics, and is in no way, shape, or form a "trick". What would you expect players to do? Not make themselves harder to attack?

What would you say if a bottom rung th8 decided to buy thousands of gems and gem their village to max th10? (Stranger things have happened)

I haven't heard of this, but it doesn't seem like a dirty tactic. It's a clever way to hopefully get a weaker match up for war. But I don't think it would be full proof, and new level 1 defenses might not make much of a difference, depending on who attacks you.

As stated, not a big deal. If this gets you fired up, wait until you have to start dealing with the real "tricks".

It's a nifty trick I suppose, but not a sustainable strategy.

The hardcore clashers "build" their inferno towers after war is declared, but cancel them once Battle Day starts and then repeat each war.

It's not a matter of it being a big deal or not.

While you may gain an advantage occasionally if you time your upgrades to your war schedule, it's not something someone can do regularly once you get to TH9/10 where upgrade costs and time for completion starts getting very expensive and long.

such advantage can be gained only once in a clash lifetime per account
    nothing crazy

happened to my clan some wars ago, an opponent TH9 completed but during war day, we were attacking his TH8 base but he attacked us with his new queen too. At least we didn't face xbows
