Buying shield with Gems

I need some help with the Shield purchase.

There's 3 shields purchase available using Gems. My query is that, are those shield purchase just for one time use or for lifetime? Do I need to repurchase to use the shield again?

So once you buy a shield with gems, that certain shield goes on a cool down (Cool down depends on which one you bought) But once you buy one, you have to pay again for the shield, it is not permanently yours. Hope this helps!!!!
