Your base is ranked on the war map by defense. Of course if your offense is stronger than your defense you'll be able to hit higher than your opposite. People seem to forget that defense as well as offense are taken into consideration for war matchmaking. Your defensive rank is all that's visible, so people seem to think that's all that matters.

If wars are easy for you, then you aren't challenging yourself. If you don't challenge yourself, you don't get better.

though he is ranked as a th5 he most likely doesnt attack them. he probably wrecks th8s or low th9s so lower levels can take out the base that he mirrored

For somebody who always "wrecks", his War Hero stars seem a bit low.. In my book, he will get his Legend status when he passes 1000 War Stars (He will also gain the more illusive "Bully Status")

I never said I don't challenge myself. I said I aim much higher than my opposite. Me attacking a much stronger opponent makes the war easier for my clan.

I also have a maxed th9. By playing the game in different ways I probably challenge myself more than you.
