Golden hour is caused by nobody being able to attack for a certain amount of time, meaning more inactives become available.

After major updates which can take hours I would expect to see a lot more good bases.

After a 30 minute break the effect will likely be negligible.

I'm extremely confident in the opinion that "golden hour" is completely rubbish and superstition and only that.

Golden hour isn't real, go back to bed.

I'll give you my firsthand account that it is indeed real.

There probably won't be a golden hour after this maintenance break. Golden hour happens after major updates when the matchmaking queue in the servers gets reset, resulting in lots of inactive bases moving forward in the queue.
