Anyone using Rec to record their gameplay on an Android device?

you can't really record a resolution higher than the resolution on your device ..

Anyway .. for Apple devices (not the subject here, I know), it is possible to connect to a Mac and record directly from the QuickTime program. Easy and build in. Limited by the resolution of the device (typically Retina, which means "absurdly high")

Or, if anyone can suggest a good free app for recording gameplays with sound, that'd be great.

Dunno about lollipop, but kitkat I use mobizen. Great resolution, no lag/skipping, video/audio recording, no root, and a widget of which you can adjust the trasparency.

I'm using Kitkat and used to use Mobizen. Now, I always get an error that says "recording stopped due to copyright or unexpected error" and would not record anything.

I've already reinstalled it a couple of times.

I've tried several screen recording apps, and I'm sticking with SCR. http://www.scr-screen-recorder.com/

It works beautifully. It records Clash in full HD with no noticeable lag on my GS5. The internal audio recording also works very nicely and records clean sound opposed to recording via the microphone.

Thanks for this. I will try this later. I remember searching for SCR on Google Play and I get directed to an app with the same name that either only records a 30 sec vid or does not record audio.
