Is it necessary to kill cc troopz for pentalavaloonion?

I'm surprised how many people are telling everyone to kill a CC dragon with heroes. Using heroes on the dragon is largely a waste, especially if you have to use the AQ's cloak to kill it. At that point, you are essentially wasting her potential to aid in the fight. Now if its a faceroll TH9 with TH8 standard defenses, than its np, but if its a TH10 or a stacked TH9, the AQ might be the only chance of salvaging an 80ish% two star. I personally bring 6 archers and 12 minions to a TH9 quadloonion and use all the archers and usually 8 miinions to kill the dragon. I save the heroes for the end of the fight.

As for the OP, lure the CC if you can with 15 or less troops I say. If it takes more army space than that, its not worth it imo. Even if its a dragon, if you're lucky your minions and pups will handle them quickly.

I used a hog to lure cc , and used a archer to drag to corner, killed a drag and 2 loons with my lvl 8 aq, used 5 lava , 1 max from cc and 20 loons with 4 rage, 3 starred maxed th 9 in war, if i didnt lure, I would have completely screwed it

Didn't read the comments state above, so I might come up doulbe. Just did 2 triples with penta in war, I like to lure cc with 2 loons (usually a drag in it). Than just drop bk, once it is shooting bk, drop queen and ability. Easy. Than start the penta from behind the heroes so they will survive and can help clean up. It's a lovely attack! lol

Penta is not really reliable since pups don't target the aq and cc like they used to.

You don't need to lure. If there's a hound then that's kind of annoying. Drags are too slow to keep up with raged troops and the poison can slow it down even more. I usually use only 3/4 hounds and most of the time I don't need to lure the CC. Does depend on the base however ie how spread out are the defences, where is the CC etc.

I would say always lure. A lvl 5 dragon will wreck a penta laloon attack. I thought penta was dead since the pups don't target the queen very well anymore. Imo if your going against a decent 9 with lvl 7 air ds and a decent queen a penta will almost always fail unless the loons get lucky and splash the queen. For me a 1 or 2 golem opener has a much higher rate of success.

Drags are plenty fast enough to keep up with loons. Even raged, they stop a moment or two on each target.

Gonna attack in war with penta, had success with it lately , so should I lure cc and kill ? Or attack directly?

I use tri-lavaloon and have no problem dealing with cc troops in the middle of the raid. So i'm assuming that having 5 hounds isnt going to change anything.

If you have no trouble dealing with CC troops in the middle of the raid, then you aren't using pure lavaloon. You must have some other troops, or a dragon in CC would destroy your attack every single time.
