Is it necessary to kill cc troopz for pentalavaloonion?

Gonna attack in war with penta, had success with it lately , so should I lure cc and kill ? Or attack directly?

Honestly, I dont think any attack warrants not killing CC, unless you know there is only valks and giants in there.

Had to look up what a PentaLavaLoonion was. Makes sense it's five hounds, but wasn't sure.

Depends on if you're feeling lucky. With the decreased detection radius, troops are a lot more likely to ignore the enemy troops until they get hit.

With poison you can deal with most troops that are a threat.

Well if you actually mean the "ion" on the end, then I guess the minions could theoretically take the CC troops.

But normally that strategy only involves hounds and loons, and then it is absolutely essential to draw the CC, and use your heroes to kill them.

unless you know what's in the cc, otherwise yes. or you'll be screwed if there's a dragon in there.

Other than dragon, not necessary to lure. Can just drop poison to kill the cc troops. With dragon, can lure & kill using heros. Other high hp troops such as golem & lava will not interfere with lavaloon attack.

Agreed. Dragons can screw up the entire pentalavaloon attack, so you definitely need to check and take care of the cc first.

As correctly stated, it's a dragon you need to be afraid of, but also the queen.

5 and 6 hound spam strats were heavily nerfed by aggro radius reduction, which is all good by me.

So, questions are: is this a first attack so don't know cc contents, and what level and where is the defending queen?
Unless it's a real baby queen, or she's likely to engage while sitting right on top of a def so loon splash gets her, you're probably looking at a world of pain.

All these reasons are why go-lava is far more popular now, but infinitely more difficult than just spamming in the hounds.
