Lol its funny you made it sound like going to another clan is like che4ting on my girlfriend LOL xD. (BTW I don't have a Girlfriend yet)

Why do we need to know this?

I think as a leader if you're letting other people opt out regularly then you should be able to as well. But I feel like as a leader in anything you do you should be willing to do anything you expect those who you lead to do. So if you expect them to war then you should too unless you have a good excuse. If you sitting out puts your clan at a disadvantage in war and you have no real reason to sit out other than "I'm farming" then you're not being a very good leader. Your whole clan might as well just farm if their so called leader isn't willing to lead them to war.

We opt out our leader all the time. As long as you have others in your clan, mostly Co-Leaders, who can take charge during war, there should be no problem.

I'm the leader, when I don't feel like warring I just upgrade my queen. It's not as easy to say u wanna focus on only farming in a war clan like mine, but in a more laid back clan, it should be fine, they're going to understand.

The leader sets the tone for the rest of the clan. Do you want people to opt out if they are upgrading heroes, or if they can't make both attacks?

If so, you should do so too. Lead by example.

I'm a clan leader, and I have personally never missed a war, but that is my current focus in the game, and when I have a hero upgrading when it's time for me to attack, I gem them.

Also worth noting is OP is not a serious war clan, he's a TH8 with level 2 hogs/level 1 GOWIPE and a not maxed king rushing to 9.. Which is a huge no no for any serious war clan, and if that's their tone who cares if the leader wars or doesn't? They're better off without him.

Opt out. As long as you continue to donate your clan will do fine. I've been upgrading my heros for the last 3 months and have opted out of almost every war during that time. My clan has been fine with that. Our rule is if you dont have heros you opt out.

Did you really mean couple of months?

Anyways, it's not going to change anything. The only difference will be you not attacking in war. Everything else will be the same. Give them their targets, help them in attacking & that's it. Simply send a Clan Mail before you Opt out telling everyone what's up.

I've been updating my heroes a lot plus real life has been busy, so I've opted out most of the past few months. Opt out when needed. That's what it's there for!
Clash Update Wish List: 1. New single player maps (or update the Goblin village loot every season) / 2. Leaders select words to censor in Clan Chat Filter for their clans. / 3. Revenge List Maintenance allowing player to delete attacks &/or make notes / 4. Chat with Rival War Clan in a War Chat (Make a 2nd tab where Global was) / 5. Ban/Block Option to keep certain users from requesting to join your clan

Questioning your own decisions? That's bad leader skills right there.

If you don't want to war just opt out and let your clan mates know that you need to farm. I'm sure they'll understand.
