Before the update we had a good mixture of witches/wizards/hounds/archers/barbs /drags

I used to see witches, wizards, and archers in almost every CC. I still see witches, wizards, and archers, but now I also see dragons, hounds, balloons, Valkyries, golems, and a few other strange combinations. People claimed that poison would kill CC diversity, but the fact is, we had very little diversity before the poison spell came out. People claim their complaint is about diversity when their actual complaint is that the witches, wizards, and archers they used every single time is no longer the most powerful troop combination possible (though it still is when people don't use a poison spell as sometimes happens).

The poison spell increased CC diversity by making it so that the extremely overpowered 223 combination is no longer the thing that everyone asks for. It's true we get a lot more hounds and dragons than we used to see (we used to see almost none), but I still see many clan castles without those troops (including my own whenever I make a request). I'm willing to take the gamble that my opponent will not have a poison spell.

Yeah not that this is entirely on the original topic but this hit the nail on the head.

You must be playing a different game, or at a very different level to my clan. Current war, every single enemy CC has drag+loon(+wiz+arch if they fit). Last war every single CC had drag+however many loons fit. And every war it's pretty much the same. Just sometimes there's a few hounds in the top 9s or in the 10s. And that's it, war after war. I used to avoid attacking early, so I could see a few CCs - did the enemy put the same thing in all of them? did they like lots of witches? lots of wiz? I don't need to now. I can tell you what'll be in the enemy CCs next war: drags+loons.

I remember commenting in the poison+CC diversity thread that in the last war before that we had 38 different CC combinations in 40v war, using all of: barb, archer, goblin, loon, wiz, drag, minion, valk, witch, hound. And now, we try for variety, but there's an awful lot of dragons and loons.

I think because there is nothing to complain about, no one talks about it at all, considering complainers are always loudest. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, as long as it's done politely it's fine by me.

Personally, I really like the haste spell. It's made me think about using hybrid attacks as well as my GoHo's. My one gripe is that we TH9 only get level 2, but level 2 feels great. It'll also take people a while to get used to, because it's short radius may hurt some people before they get to know it.

And on the poison topic: I've been using more small troops since the update. Lots don't bring their poisoon or don't know how to handle them spreading out

It's because haste is not op, so nobody bothers to talk about it. If we see th9s getting wrecked because of haste then we'll have threads asking to nerf them

I have been using the haste spell a lot recently. Carrying the poison is pointless in wars and a single quake is useless. So in the comes the haste, it helps tons with golem based raids...especially if backed by witches

Everyone brings posion, it even helps vs dragons slow is huge in helping your troops kill it with less risk. Not that I don't enjoy all the new spells. We now only fill our CC's with dragons, hounds, loons, and valk. (minus a couple troops to round things off). Before we would mix it up, sometimes witches, some times wiz, some times mass arch, some times big units.

I like haste a lot. I use it for hogs, loons, dragons, and pekka.. Anything that does enough damage on it's own but I want to cover more ground faster.
